The director Pa.Ranjith actually went through a rigorous training routine with national boxing champions for 5 months before he started shooting. Most of the actors in this film are also real life boxers and fitness experts.
Much better than Tamilians who pronounce thamizh as Tameel and I can vouch that only 1% or even less than that pronounce "zha" properly whereas look at malayalees all pronounce "zha" properly. I am a tamilian myself and feel ashamed of this
It's Ranjith, one of the best directors in Tamil cinema. You guys should watch the Madras. Please do some study on caste politics that will make you enjoy the film better.
Sarpatta is one of the greatest movies! The actors of this film really put a hard work of nearly 6 months or more for building up their body. And also the punches in this film were completely real, because the director wanted it to be realistic. This is really a masterclass movie! A must watch! 🔥🔥💖💗

@@faiz2775 It is not like original stars like Akshay kumar are not churning out same crap. It is across the board for hindi movies. OTT series have some good content, but in movies Malayalam and other south industry is way better today.
Arya (also lovingly known as Jammy) if you follow him on twitter you will find that he is a fitness enthusiast and I think a triathlete. Really a great guy. I have only seen a few of his films. Definetly looking forward to this one.

Ranjith (Director) movies will always talk about politics, caste/class discriminations, life in North Madras. Hope it is good, but not expecting too much ..
It's a must that we should talk about discriminations of our society. If we don't then who else. People don't like his movies because they don't like to talk about oppression of this society.Just like British don't like Indian history that's why they made history on their own.
@Harish Kumar As a non Tamilian just curious about why 'North Madras' specifically. Have only visited Chennai as a tourist, that too years ago, so I'm not very aware of the cultural differences in various parts of Chennai, which of course all cities have.

You guys only know Maniratnam as a good Tamil director. You guys haven't seen Sankar's movies yet. This guy Ranjit is a great director he has done two movies with Super star Rajini sir! It's time that you guys should notice the Tamil film directors and see their movies. There have been great movie directors from the past till now in the southern movie industry.
Frankly, I don't think they will like Sankar movies. His movies are too mainstream masala for these guys. They will like his songs. Smaller rural movies that come in tamil are what they will like better.
Vetrimaaran and Thiagarajan Kumararaja are currently the two best Indian directors from Tamilnadu along with Anurag Kashyap, LJP, Kaushik Ganguly, Anand Gandhi, Ravi Jadhav, Aditya Vikram Sengupta, Chaitanya Tamhane and many more.
