He's not an imitator, his control, range and tone are free and relaxed and natural to him. Obviously his technique and everything is heavily inspired, but this is his natural comfort zone.
FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTAND THIS the reason i always get mad at anyone who is against him singing in queen is the fact that they always say he's a freddie impersonator, when in fact he just has a voice like freddie I had the opportunity to see him live and although he does sound like freddie, he's not 100% the same, and that's great for me, he doesn't try to imitate Freddie, he just has a voice similar to his naturally

Used to be good, His vocals used to be really amazing. I would watch full concerts on You Tube. This Vegas concert..I could not get through it. Maybe he was having a bad night.

How great was that for Marc to sing this song with Roger Taylor😍. What an honour to stand beside Roger a legend and Marc singing with the voice of a legend love love❤️. I always wonder what would Freddie be like now , if he was still alive? Would he still be that big personality that endeared him to his fans? There’s just something about him that made people flock to see and hear him. Hell he didn’t even have to sing and people would still come just to be in his presence😍. He was such a talented musician, along with his bandmates, he gains new fans all the time. It’s sad to think after he passed away, big steps were being made in the fight against aids ( if only💔). I know we all have our own opinions on who sings better etc and who we think should be the front man for Queen. Myself I would go see Marc’s concerts, why? Because I can close my eyes and hear Freddie live. He brings back memories listening to him. It’s like we are getting a chance to feel and hear his incredible voice again, like so many fans did before he passed away. Maybe they didn’t pick Marc over the fact he does sound like Freddie, that could be hard on them? At least with Queen/Adam plus Marc and the Queen celebration tours, people still get double the chance to see Queen, hear Queen, hear and feel Freddie even tho he’s not here, he’s here in spirit and through Marc. I love this performance. This might be the closest we get to Marc singing with Queen. Just this simple duet with Roger. Better than nothing. Of course, if you don't count the American Idol appearance where Brian and Roger played with the unveiling of the Queen Extravaganza.

I think what people saying that Marc doesn't sound like Freddie at all tend to forget is to differenciate between how freddie used to sing in his early years and how he sang at Live Aid for example. Marc really sounds like the younger version

They sound great together! Roger smiles, but his eyes are a bit sad. Roger, Marc is an excellent vocalist and instrumentalist, you know that. Repeat the show with Marc and UQC, it will be an event bigger than other concerts! We're still waiting - fans.
Roger must've felt a mixed truck of emotions. Happy to hear Freddie's voice again and happy for this young lad, that he discovered via RU-vid having the time of his life on stage. But at the same time it's so sad, that Freddie himself couldn't be there and continue making music with his friends - Roger, John and Brian.
