Sad part is that even though this SP wouldn't score as high under the new scoring system, she is still head and shoulders above everyone else. Her spins and spirals are perfection.
Troy - The new scoring system rewards excellence, just as the old scoring system did. Now it's quantified in a way we can all understand. Sasha had scored well under the new scoring system, managing a silver at the Olympics so the new system didn't seem to be too difficult for her to grasp or unable to properly score her performances.

Mine too! No one has ever come along after her that wore their emotions on their sleeve and embodied their performance. She was always “Present.” Irina Slutskaya is my second favorite, and Surya Bonaly is also in my top three. She was before her time.
Change of edge spiral is Michelle's signature move, much difficult than Sasha's spiral. I also enjoy Michelle's Charlotte spiral, when her finger touched the ice just like a kiss.

Sasha said "Hallelujah" was the piece which reminded her of how lucky she was to skate. My thoughts are Malaguena was the piece she was able to shine with. Allowed her to be playful, a bit sassy and to flit about a bit. I liked this program! Oh yeah - that killer smile!
I loved Sasha Cohen as a skater and Robin seemed like a really Nice Coach and helped her a lot in the cinfidence departament. I wished sasha cohen stayed with Robin Wagner till the end of her creer. John nicks wasnt bad but i think Robin Wagner was much better for sasha. Thats Why i really dislike Eteri seems like a robot with her skaters while robin looked so sweet.
In first spiral, the cameraman basically only showed her face... Such a shame. can't someone give instructions to camerapeople to show the whole position? You'd think it was common sense but apparently not
I think she's a bit overrated. There's a wild quality to her skating uncontrolled quality to her skating. She has great moments, great positions and extension but there's a security and confidence missing.
