This is the tutorial to help you complete the Sassy Autumn Ribbed crochet cowl found on my website nanascraftyhome.com. Easy pattern that looks fantastic!
I am trying to follow your tutorial and cant figure out after you join first seams you are ending up wwith another corner i have folded like you show but when i join i dont have a corner to keep going what am i dking wrong?
Joyce Allison can you send me a picture? My email is nanascraftyhome@gmail.com and I will be happy to help. I could even send you pics of mine if that would help.
My suggestion in folding/joining is to just line up the edges and pick up loops on the ends of both thicknesses of the cowl. As long as you are working at the end of the cowl you should be just fine. If you prefer sewing rather than doing a slip stitch that works just as well. I hope that helps but let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you! Tonya
Elise Taylor-Evans the other video that will help you with this pattern is the front post back post double crochet or ribbed stitch tutorial I have on RU-vid as well. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other assistance. Thank you!
Barbara, that is a design by another designer over at Spit Spot Loves. The link to the free pattern is here: www.spitspotloves.co.uk/summer-love-cal.html. One of my favorite makes and one of the inspirations behind me starting my own blog! A fun blanket!
Has anyone every made/used this so it's not going over the head, and just sort of a short scarf/buttoned type of cowl? I don't want it going over my head, but just a wrap/buttoned piece. I can't think of why it wouldn't work that way, but thought I'd inquire prior to making the rectangle. Thanks, any input is appreciated!
I haven't seen one that wasn't sewn into a cowl however it should be absolutely fine if you choose to simply wrap and then button in order to wear it! If you try it let me know how it goes! 💕
