Walk through the literature passage from College Board’s Practice Test 1 with me! You can find the full test here: collegereadiness.collegeboard....
This should help if you’re seeing this passage for the first time, if you’ve already taken this test and want to review your answers, or if you’d just like to see how I tackle this section. I tried to be as in-depth as possible and share all my tips along with the general methods I use to answer each question to help you get to a perfect 1600, too!
This particular literature section was relatively tricky for me the first time I practiced with it my sophomore year, and I feel like it's definitely on the more difficult side when it comes to SAT passages. I’ll explain all the mistakes I made at first, and some other very common mistakes everyone tends to make. Usually it’s fairly easy to eliminate one or two answer choices, but hopefully implementing these strategies will help you choose correctly between the remaining choices. :)
