I called DanAm a couple years ago to ask about getting 5500xs to replace my perfectly functioning 5000s. They told me the stock 5000 pattern works perfectly for what I spray in Central Florida and I wouldn't notice a difference. These are my 15th and 16th Satas and that type of honesty, as well as the best spraying guns have made me a customer for life. I guess it is a bit of bragging to see the amazing level of paint finishes I got out of PPG and Devilbiss millenia guns. I had no idea what a world class gun was until my first gold 3000 with the Swarovski crystal on it. Now with all Sata, 5000 RP and HVLP, 3 100s, one of which is a P, a 4000 RP for sealer and a 4400 mini, and RM Diamont ,Onyx, and Tamco products, I'll put my work up against any in the restoration business. Like a putter, you have to have ego and confidence in your equipment to do the best work possible. When the 6500s come out, I'm getting them. Bet.
