I was not even an SDA when I was convinced about the seventh day as a Day of rest instead of the 1st day of the week. I am determined to keep the Seventh day not because I have been convinced by somebody like H.G. White, or an SDA person and so forth but through reading and understanding what the Bible says. Genesis 2: 2-3 tells me clearly that, God had blessed and sanctified the seventh day at creation and had make this become one of His laws in Exodus 20: verses 8, 9 and 10. Daniel 7:25 foretells of the man/system that ... will think to change times and laws... (I believe this means changing the seventh day to the first day of the week), so to speak, making a change in the commandment spoken of in Exodus chapter 20, verses 8, 9 and 10. Jesus did not destroy the law which cannot be none other than the very law God gave to Moses in the old testament because in Matt. 5: 17-19, Jesus clearly states that He did not come to destroy the law and the prophets but to fulfill; that till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one little title shall in no wise pass from the law... John 14:15 gives me a condition of keeping God's commandments if I love Him, so I am trying all my best to study these commandments to avoid failing in anyone of them as we are warned not to, otherwise we would be guilty of failing all of them! To close, I quote Rev. 22:14 and Rev. 14:12: * Revelation 14:12- " Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus". * Revelation 22: 14- "Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." God +Jesus + Holy Spirit = 1 AMEN!
Gladys, the same happened to me, our dear God revealed His Sabbath to me as I read His word; note that I read the same books and passages many times before but those passages just jumped out of the pages into my heart. I was living a challenging situation and decided to keep the Sabbath; that Friday night I went to bed and I had such a good night of sleep, so rested and peaceful the next morning. I have been keeping The precious Sabbath since then, work challenges and everything else you can imagine, but God WILL make a way and bless us as is His deep desire. Thank you for your post!!!

I was raised SDA but drifted away from the church when I got older. Now I'm 31,Divorced , and trying to find my way back to whats right.. its a long hard road out of hell tho, that's for sure!
If you are honestly seeking for truth from the scriptures, open your minds. Look up the scriptures that Pastor Doug provides, and study them in context. Some of us don't need an explanation for what is so clear and obvious...but others might. It's not a stretch to read, study, and be in agreement with this teaching. I know that much of the teachings of the SDA Church cut to the very heart of what so many of us have believed from childhood, but that doesn't mean that it's false. SDA,s use the Holy Bible as their only standard. I don't wish to put anybody down, but some of the comments from the "haters" show me three things: 1) You weren't paying attention, or 2) you base your judgments of "this guy" on a predisposition of prejudice to any SDA, not just him. 3) You are Bible illiterate because you choose to be, not willing to study these scriptures for yourselves, therefore saying mean and nasty things about one of God's servants. You're not rejecting Doug Batchelor, your rejecting God.
I have woken up, thank God! I truly believe we were always, suppose to worship God, on the sabbath. I Worship God every day, but on Saturday, I worship God, from sun down Friday to sun down, on Saturday. This is Saturday, and it's long, after sundown, but I am watching these videos, because they are so interesting. Doug Batchelor is very interesting. I like, and believe everything he says, and I'm learning a lot. He is a very good pastor.

7da's believe that He's already come the 2nd time and is now in heaven preparing stuff. In the transition from the Millerite movement to 7da that's how they covered up the oops in the 1800s when Jesus failed to return as they repeatedly predictied You just might have a really hard time proving that with the new testament.
sounds like you been getting info from non sda or from nominal sda who don't know message. if we cant explain it simply we don't know it. I don't know any who believe hes come 2nd time. millerites believed Christ was to return in 1844 because of 2300 day prophecy...unto 2300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed...they didn't have all the pieces . ive never heard of them trying to cover up the great disappointment, they had to eat crow, but it drew them close to the word of god to figure what they had missed..paul refers to CHRIST our high priest, interceding on our behalf in the heavenly sanctuary. it was the sanctuary in heaven (the one moses was shown for a pattern) that was cleansed, CHRIST was moving from the holy to the most holy. the earthly sanctuary was given to show us how GOD saves us from sin. first the sacrifice, we either accept CHRISTS sacrifice or we reject it. then if were following well get baptized, the wash basin. its not over then no we enter the holy place. on the right we see the table of show bread, to the left the 7 lamp candle stand, forward we see the alter of incense. through this sanctuary service and the symbols they discorverd truths that had been forgotten/ truth hidden till the last days. read great controversy. I challenge you. get a strongs concordance and KJV bible and youll see the connections. like when revelation 14:6-12 says fear god and give glory to him for the hour of his judgement HAS come and worship him who made heaven and earth and the fountains of waters.....this wording is very similar to exodus 20:8-11its talking about worshipits talking about the only one that is worthy of our worship,our creator.read you bible don't take anyone elses interpretation. its your salvationit wasn't popular in noahs days to believe in and be obedient to god but noah was.look at Elijah on mount carmelmoses mainly look at the life of Christ , rome was compeled to murder him because of the so called religious leaders who moved the mob to yell -we have no king but Caesar- release barabbus. a religo-political power forcing its agenda on the world, its mark of authority is forced worship.
@piper pas The Millerite movement(the people that thought Christ was coming back in 1844) consisted of various protestant denominations. This movement did not include SDA because the SDA church did not yet exist at that time. The SDA church was formed a few years after this movement. As a matter of fact, the people in that movement did not observe the seventh day Sabbath. Christ's "chosen' people are scattered throughout the various Christian denominations and some may not even be in any church at the moment.(Christ says his sheep are in different folds and that he must gather them all into one fold) I do believe the SDA church is the remnant church and I highly recommend looking a lot closer into the history and doctrines of the church.
Timothy Nash - The SDA church was established in 1863, but most of the founders had believed in the Millerite (Advent) movement. The prophecies were correct as far as date, but the event was wrong. No Protestant church had ever studies the Sanctuary and so they did not understand....”and then the Sanctuary will be cleansed”. They thought the earth was the Sanctuary and Jesus would burn up the earth at His 2nd coming (which will happen via HIs brightness). The Apostles in Jesus’ day had the same BITTER experience. They did not understand that Christ Jesus would DIE as the sacrificial lamb without spot or blemish for all of mankind’s sins at His 1st coming. They had misunderstood the Word of God. They had only honed in on the Scriptures regarding what Christ would do via His 2nd coming - set up His kingdom. However, they even got this wrong, because Christ was NOT going to set up His kingdom on this earth at His 2nd coming - but His 3rd. When Christ ascended, he had promised to take us WHERE he went - to Heaven. He does not set up His kingdom on this earth until all sinners, all SIN, death, and the grave have been burned up in the lake of fire - which takes place on the surface of the earth. After all the wicked have been consumed forever in the lake of fire, Christ will create a new heaven and a new earth. This is when He sets up His eternal Kingdom with those from this earth that chose His plan of redemption and had allowed God to sanctify them - change them back into His image of character.

GOD + Jesus+holy spirit=1 Jesus did not come to contradict what he wrote in stone with his finger. GOD's law is good and shows his love in every commandment, yes even the 4th commandment, take note that the Sabbath existed even before sin came into play, as Christians we should follow Christ, and Christ kept the Sabbath till the day he died on the cross for us, I'm not forcing my beliefs on anyone, but don't lie on Jesus and use the bible to try and excuse your reasons for keeping pagan traditions.
nadonie beaussejour The 10 Commandments are not the law themselves but they were written before the law came into completion. God knows that no one can fulfill the law so he sent his only begotten Son into the world to do it. Love is the fulfillment of the law so walk in love and not displeasing God by trying to obey the law.

Christians tell me that God's Son changed His Dad's special Sabbath Day? Oh yeah? Show me this scripture. Not the one where they "met" on the first day of the week. The one that says.... "I , Jesus God's Son came to change the Sabbath Day to the first day of the week." Can you show me that one?

The Holy Spirit is the seal of our salvation. If you believe the Gospel that Jesus came in the flesh and took the full penalty for your salvation, then you are saved. There is nothing to fear. You don't have to be perfect in your flesh. Jesus IS our righteousness.

Friends Im trying to help you the jews celebrated their sabath on saturday. The catholic church accepted sunday from constantine a pagan folower to worship. No matter what people say and what people do to sda church. the bible says if you love him keep his comandments and if you dont worship on saturday you break the commandments and if you do that the bible says if he break at least one you break all of them all. So fact of the matter is 6 days you work last day in calendar is saturday jews celebreat on saturday god never changes his law just like that. jesus sayed i came to add to the law not take it away and he added love others as you love him. So if celebrate on sunday you deny GOD so dont become an SDA but at least celebrat on saturday if not you are forsaking god.
john carter Jesus is our Sabbath. Hebrews 4 speaks of Jesus as our Sabbath rest. Verses 9-10 in particular state " So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God rested did from His". The key to understanding how Jesus is our Sabbath is understanding what Sabbath means. The word shabat means "rest". In Matthew 12:8 Jesus declared Himself "lord of the Sabbath". In Mark 2:27 He declared "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath". Hebrews chapters 3 and 4 reveal how a relationship with Jesus frees us from the works and allows a person to rest in the work of Christ on the cross. Jesus serves as our Sabbath rest in the sense that He provides freedom from living under the works of the law. Instead, His sacrifice has paid the price for our salvation as His free gift, entering into His rest both now as well as in eternity in His presence. As far as worshiping on Saturday or Sunday it makes no difference. For instance I worship God everyday.
many people do not know who it is that will come first and where the one that comes first is to come to, Christ Jesus does not come until the Wicked one comes first.

kim mathews - You are of the ‘cheap’ grace crowd. Giving our deceitful, wicked hearts to Jesus does not save us. We must receive a heart transplant from the grace (power) of Jesus via the Holy Spirit. Christ’s sacrifice only provided us a chance at salvation. The Bible says we MUST be born again, which means we must be turned - we must have our nature restored to the image of God’s character, and His character IS His, divine, eternal law. The 10-commandments is the standard we will be judged by. We are not saved by the law, but we won’t be saved unless we can keep God’s Law because breaking any of His laws is the definition of sin. Sin is transgression of God’s law and the penalty is ETERNAL death. Christ died this 2nd death for us, but He didn’t do so - so we could keep sinning. Lucifer and his rebellious angels were expelled from Heaven for breaking God’s law and NOT repenting. We must repent (turn away from) and confess our sins. True repentance means we must hate what God hates (SIN) and loves what He loves (Righteousness). God is not going to allow any sinners into Heaven when He had to expel angels for doing so. God does not FORCE us - we must ask Him to CHANGE us so we can be restored back into His image. His image is HIs character and His laws mirror His character - OTHER-centered, not self-centered. You have not given your heart to Jesus unless you have been changed BACK into His image. You just think you have given Him your heart. You have deceived yourself - the great majority of Christians have because of them listening to false teachers who say what they want to hear. STUDY God’s living word - it is the bread of LIFE. You must find the truth yourself and be convinced by God’s Word, and His word has power to change you. Al verse on any one subject must agree. If you think one of them says something different than the others - than you are not rightly understanding the verse difficult to understand. But if you compare them ALL in context, and pray for Holy Spirit guidance - you will see how you were misunderstanding the verse in question. Don’t be lazy - study to show your approved. Your destiny depends on it. Jesus say, If you love me, keep my commandments. Jesus is the One that wrote them with His own finger on the tablets of stone on Mt. Sinai. They are God’s law for His kingdom - His government. They will never change.
Of course we obey because we have been saved but the good works which God has called his people to do are not the works of the law or of the Old Covenant but what Jesus did when he was here on earth ie laying hands on the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, etc etc...

yes, the dead in christ will come out there graves, first and the righteous that still alive meet the Lord in haven. The dead evil will rise to see the Lord, but the brightness will kill them again they will sleep until the 1000 (1yr.) our time. The evil that remain on earth will try to take the new city coming down from heaven, then God will send fire down and burn the whole earth.

some will be sleeping because of different time zones..but due to the lightning from east to west,north to south..earth will be engulf with light and the thunders that follows lightnings will keep us all awake..unfortunately not all will be able to see Him unless all earthlings are/will gather in one place on earth..perhaps in megiddo..
They will all be able to see Him on their television screens. The rapture happens before Armageddon. See,Rev 14:14- for the rapture, " And I looked, and behold, a white cloud. And on the cloud sat one like the Son of man, having a golden crown on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand. "And another angel came out of the temple, crying in a great voice to Him sitting on the cloud, Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth was dried. And He sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped." Moreover, Armageddon is long before Jesus' coming on his white horse. That coming of Him is known as the 'Battle of Azal' when his feet will rest in the Mt. Olives when it will 'split in two' during that earthquake.
all eyes will see him because the earth is flat...just all humans can see polaris at the same time wherever they are.. ..of course those who are sleeping will not be able to see polaris and at daytime with their naked eyes(need a telescope for that)... notice the expression..to the ends of the earth...a globe or spherical earth has no ends..the bible does not lie!
My thing with the pre-trib rapture is this, if it's true why does yeshua repeatedly say the days will be shortened in those times for the sake of the elect?
freckles88 No, he said there will be no second chance after Christ comes back and receives His church to Himself. He was speaking against a seven year period when men would have a chance to choose God. When Christ comes back, every man, woman and child will have sealed their fate.
Yahshua will return early, that is what this "cut days short" means. Joe Crews started this independent ministry, and Doug took over later on. Joe would tell Christians about being a born again Pagan, that is, celebrating Christmas, Easter, St Val's day, etc. Some to many SDA's even celebrate Halloween. An abomination to Yahweh. The elect are not the Adventists, they have been deceived, and it is a Masonic cult that was formed like several other Christian cults in the 1800's. It is/ was the Masonic agenda to reintroduce paganism to the Christian Churches-so they will be Idol worshipers. This makes Church systems part of Babylon, because most of these pagan traditions come from Babylon. Come out of her my people. Join a non-denomination Church, or do a home Church.

Yes all eyes shall see Christ Jesus at His second coming, Notice that Paul had written in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, that we all shall be changed, this includes believers and unbelievers shall see Christ Jesus at His second coming.Note that at Christ Jesus second coming we will be in the spirit and not of flesh and blood, for we all shall be changed from flesh and blood to that of the Spirit to meet the Lord in the spirit for we shall see Him as He is in the spirit.
There are two resurrections. The first resurrection which is for the righteous dead and the second resurrection for the unrighteous death (Revelation 20:6).. Pray for the holy spirits guidance and then read Revelation 20:6-14 which explains. God bless
satan doesnt know but when he was thrown out of Heaven, "he is filled with fury, knowing his time is short," so he will try and stir up as much trouble as he can, as he knows he hasn't got that much time. We are allowed to" know the season" "no-one knows the day and hour, not the angels in Heaven, not the Son, but the Father only" but we can know from the times we are living in that Our Lord's Return is not far away, and Satan knows this. and why are the times so bad? Because satan knowing his time is short, is escalating and encouraging things that are evil, as he knows he has to "up the ante" as it were, and you can see what is going on today, that satan is trying to wreak as much havoc and destruction as he can, while he can, as he knows that Jesus will appear any time

Please somebody explain to me. The bible says that all eye will see him. Does that mean rightous and unrightous will rise from the grave in the moment of the second coming? If all rightous will be taken what will happen with thous left behind?
There are 2 resurrections mentioned in Revelation. The first occurs at the 2nd coming of Jesus where the dead in Christ shall rise and be caught up with him in the air, at that moment the wicked that are still living will be destroyed by His glory because sin can't exist in His presence. The second resurrection occurs after the 1000 years when the new Jerusalem is brought down to Earth from heaven, at this time the wicked shall be resurrected and await judgement. During this period everyone who has ever lived will be alive and see Him. The righteous will be inside the city and the wicked with Satan and his angels outside the city. Then fire will rain down from heaven and destroy those outside the city until they are all consumed. Read through the book of Revelation to fully understand (chapters 19-22 to be more exact). zargitario When it comes to those who pierced him seeing him, there is speculation that there will be a special resurrection just for those Romans during His 2nd coming (1st resurrection) but there is no biblical proof of that however Bible scholars believe that there will be a special resurrection just for those people to see Him coming in his full glory because Jesus said it would happen. I don't understand your 2nd question. God Bless!!

Iwas reading E.G white trying to understand it and she seems to say that the ones who trasspased him and even the pharisees would be there too to see him. It seems a bit confusing. This person also told me about the seven years of tribulation, do you know anything about it?
EGW says in the Desire of Ages pg 829, 830 regarding this subject "As the place of His ascension, Jesus chose the spot so often hallowed by His presence while He dwelt among men. Not Mount Zion, the place of David’s city, not Mount Moriah, the temple site, was to be thus honored. There Christ had been mocked and rejected.......The holy Shekinah, in departing from the first temple, had stood upon the eastern mountain, as if loath to forsake the chosen city; so Christ stood upon Olivet.....Upon its summit His feet will rest when he shall come again" With the 7 year tribulation I believe that this refers to secret rapture (I may be wrong) if so then Revelation refutes this however I can't respond without a full knowledge of what the 7 year tribulation is. Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!
Jesus came to fulfill the 10 commandment law, not to do away with it. His law is written on the hearts of humans or those who love Him. It IS the law of love and the one Lucifer broke in heaven by trying to set himself up as God. God's 10 commandment law has always existed, even though it wasn't codified on tables of stone until God gave it to Moses on Mt. Sainai. .

Thief in the night" yes God knew the world would be asleep, and is warnign us if we do not wake up,His coming will be unexpected to those in a spiritual stupor.Those of us AWAKE wont see Him as a thief,we know the 7th trump of rev ll, is when He will appear Rev 3 3 "Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. "But if you do "not" wake up", I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
I am confused!! In the 1000yrs reign the Saints and YAHUSHUA will be ruling. What will they be ruling over? The bible does say what YAHUSHUA looks like Rev 1 and Dan 10 How did the Hebrew Israelites become extinct? So who is YAH going to gather in Jeremiah 23:1-8; Isaiah 11:11-12. There're many preachers and many religions in this world. But I believe only the Bible as the true word of God as in - John 17:17. Thus if what the preacher preaches is not according to the Bible then it's False - Isaiah 8:20 for I don't want to be mislead Matt 7:15 and like the majority, follow the tradition of men - Mark 7:6-7, 9 & 13. For broad is the way that leads to destruction - Matt 7:13-14. Since eternity is between my God and I and if I know Him or only about Him. So I checked and studied every word Pr Doug said like the Bereans in - Acts 17:10-11 and found that they're biblical based. So my friends it's your choice to take it or leave it as in - Matt 7:21-25 but if you leave it then you'll miss out on your crown 2 Timothy 4:8, eternity - John 3:16 and Heaven John 14:1-3.

At 37min 2 Thessalonians Chapter 3 he is reading something else...how has no one caught this? I checked it more than 3x I thought I was hearing things. Someone else please comment on this lol. "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep (died) in Jesus will GOD BRING WITH HIM." 1 Thess. 4:14. That is why Paul could say,"and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS, to meet the Lord in the air: 1 Thess. 4:16,17. the papacy has done so much damage to Christians worldwide and the truth of the Bible. I see the SDA as probably the church with the most Godly practices and a very clear understanding of Biblical history and end times. I don't follow a man or woman, I follow the Bible.
Yes there are many false prophets and how can we know that a person is a false prophet? Notice in Mark 13:23 Christ Jesus in the speaking about false Christ's and false prophets shall come, Then Christ Jesus said, behold I have foretold you all things. The question is, As to why would Christ Jesus need to send a prophet when in fact Christ Jesus said the He has foretold all things, This proves that Christ Jesus is not going to send a prophet, because Christ Jesus has already foretold all things, this is why John the Baptist is the last of the prophets.
Yet he said I will send the comforter that will lead you into all things, then he said I have many things to say to you, but you're not able to bear them. plus the the holy give us gift like teachers, prophets, evangelist, pastor etc. why give us these if he already teach us all things? so much for that.
We are saved by grace AND THROUGH FAITH; not of works (or striving to obey the law) AS 7TH DAY ADVENTISTS TRY TO DO. Therefore they are deceived and they preach another gospel...WOE to them

We fulfill the 10 commandments by walking in love as Jesus Christ did. It is written very clearly in scripture that if anyone is trying to please God by obeying the Law and keeping the 10 commandments then they have fallen from grace (and may be not saved after all).
Uh, Peter.... you have no clue! Jesus said if you love God/Jesus, you will keep the commandments. If you observe grace, grace isn't a catch-all for everything else that we may do bad and therefore get away with. Are you a parent? If so, you may give your kids grace, but don't you still want them to love you and the rules you gave them to have a good life, not get hurt, be respectful to you and others? This is the same M.O. God has for us. Just because we have accepted God's grace doesn't mean we can still get away with killing others or dishonoring our parents.... because we have accepted God's grace we SHOULD be abiding by God's law.
Jesus said "keep my commandments" and not the 10 commandments specifically. We are justified through faith and not by the keeping of the 10 commandments.
I'm going to have to read the Quran as interestingly I've read articles about many reverse prophecies in the Quran, only with the biblical bad guys as the good guys and vice versa. I'm not quite sure of the significance of the '666' bit. Are Bible God and Quran God the same? The eternal torment doctrine of hell in the Quran says otherwise. As Islam is probably the most revered religion on the planet, imagine if Allah and Jesus in the Quran were to return and fire to rain from the sky, what would it be like then?

Ask a Muslim and he will say the Bible was copied from quran but in reality, the Bible existed long before.. the old testament was written in the B.C times while new testament was written between 1-6 century A.D..... quran was started only in the 7 the century A.D by a man who killed innocent Jews and raped, married and tortured underaged women
Fortunate for us Christians that are genuinely walking with Christ, we cannot be fooled. Trust me, if he could, he would. "For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (MAtthew 24:4) Lucky for us, God protects his disciples from Satan's deceptions. "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." Ephesians 6:10-11
