I have thought dreoly about early Genesis and realized that sin (evil) did indeed exist, but that God had saidcthat all He had made was good... a head scratcher for sure. What is going on here? Thankyou for engaging. Most dont, it seems.

When they took the fruit they were still good and they were simply exercising their freedom to make a mistake - once they ingested the fruit and they absorbed the essence of the tree they were now capable of making a good decision or an evil decision - prior to they could only make a correct decision or a mistake - they were still innocent.

Gen.3:21 doesn't actually say that Elohim performed a "sacrifice" to cover us in lamb skins. However, it could read "a covering of blindness placed upon us". The Hebrew word 'or' means SKIN, animal or otherwise. It also means blind/blindness. I have stated this for midrash purposes only. SHALOM!

This is one where I believe that Satan's fall may have been the garden itself. The fact that YHWH himself walked in the garden and these spiritual beings were present as well. I think it may have been noted that the spiritual/physical were intertwined. Adam and Eves conversation with this spirit being speaks to the possibility that they were familiar with them. Just a tiny thought. Absolutely love Torah class and never miss a class.

Greetings Mr. Bradford..We're told when Adam and Eve sinned, God made coats of skins, and clothed them-.Gen 3:21. However, it does not say God made these skins from animals. To do so would have required the death of an innocent animal. While this may have been the method God used to cover them, a foreshadow of the sacrificial lamb to come. This can only be an assumption, and to say dogmatically that an animal was sacrificed for this purpose, is in truth adding to the word of God, which as you know; is forbidden. Obviously we can't know for certain as the text doesnt say, but I have my own theory I'd like to share with you. We know that God is Light- 1 John 1 :5 Jesus claimed io be the Light of the world - John 8:12, 9:5. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God- Gen 1:27. We're also told in the parable of the wheat and the tares, at the harvest of the earth, that the wicked will be cast into the furnace of fire, but the righteous shall shine forth as the sun, in the Kingdom of their Father Isn't it reasonable to assume that "Light " was Adam and Eve's original covering, and that when they took of the forbidden fruit and ate of it, they lost their covering of light. Adam and Eve could have perceived this loss as being naked, which made them ashamed, so that they made for themselves a covering of leaves, as they hid themselves from God. When God removed Adam's rib, and created a helpmate for Adam from it ; Adam said "This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh" - Gen 2:23. But, can we know that Adam's "flesh" was the same flesh that we humans are born with today; in our sinful fallen state. Perhaps God clothed Adam and Eve with "human skin" in order to cover their nakedness. 1Cor 15:39-40 tells us there are different kinds of bodies; there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, Not all flesh is the same; people have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another, and fish another. It goes on to say " And as we have born the image of the earthy, we shall bear the image of the heavenly.-1 Cor 15:49. In the book of the generations of Adam- Gen 5:1-2, it says " In the day that God created man ( IN THE IMAGE OF GOD) made he him. Male and female created he them" . Oddly enough this book makes no mention of either Cain nor Abel as being offsprings of Adam, but goes on to say " when Adam lived 130 years, he begat a son ( IN HIS OWN IMAGE) and called his name Seth". Adam's offspring were no longer created in the image of God, but are in the image of Adam himself. We are born with human skin, and we're born in the image of Adam, it just seems plausable that " human skin" was the flesh covering God provided after the fall, which would not have required an innocent animal to be sacrificed. Shalom, Isa 14 Is not about Satan, It is describing Nebuchadnezzar and the reference to morning star is reference to the planet Venus. Nebuchadnezzar exalted his earthly throne over YHWH's heavenly throne and for doing so was stricken with madness for a period of 7 years. The interesting part Isa prophecied exactly what Nebuchadnezzar would do and also that a judgment would befall him. In short as the planet Venus rises and falls so would Nebuchadnezzar. Isa 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! It actually shows Adam is not only a liar but a false prophet. He was commanded to tell Eve what had been told to him by YHWH, but he did not do this instead he chose to add to YHWH's command. YHWH's command only given to Adam because Eve had not yet been created Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Adam's command to Eve Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. YHWH gave no command against touching only against eating, Eve believed YHWH did give the command against touching, this means Adam had changed YHWH's command by adding the no touching part. This is the opening the serpent used because once Eve touched the fruit and nothing happened, she had reason to doubt the no eating command which did lead to not just her death but Adam's as well. Adam knew the no touching command was false, but when he saw Eve had eaten the forbidden fruit and seemingly nothing had happened to her was reason enough for him to doubt YHWH's command and so he also ate the forbidden fruit. To think that Eve was the one who added to the command contradicts the NT where it says Eve was deceived but Adam wasn't, also what reason would Eve have to lie to the serpent.

Names are what you are . Why dose everyone think Satan is a snake? His attitude and what he did was sabotage the Lords creation. By lying. What a serpent. You just said Satan was second in beauty unto God. Kind of conflicts with everything known about everyone else's name and how they got them. He was a serpent by action. Not because he was a snake. He was beautiful.
