About this clip: There are noisy chirruppings in the wasp-nest in the eve between the mating birds that couldn't lay an egg. The viviparous Charlote, however, is positively chirpy to her girlfriends tweeting about their perfect Park Avenue life. Later, the scene takes a "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" swerve when the three guests realize that the cardboard baby signfies that Trey and Charlotte are leading a pretentious, childless and sexless life and bid a hasty goodnight for the love-birds to brood in their matrimonial privacy, reminding us of Laney Berlin's parting gospel on the futility of marriage to Carrie after her failed party-crashing in Season 1. Later, in Season 5, the opulent nidification of the MacDougal household is broken apart twig by twig when Bunny MacDougal takes Charlotte York to court offering her a generous coin-collection. Although Bunny loses it to Charlotte over her pre-nup debacle, she manages to express the value of tradition and love of their highland lineage. Contrari-wise, Charlotte turns out to be more than a fling and indeed, a lot of work, when Trey's telegram offers phallic generosity to the art-dealer housewife.
