im glad you started playing this game, never heard of it before I saw it here, this game is quickly becoming one of my favourites to watch. Sort of reminds me of (i think it was called) interplanetary but on a more local scale.
Detailed Earth is the map too, great map, I also recommend the Ace Combat map, I don't even know the lore but the map is so fun to play on, new geopgraphy brings new strategies
My biggest takeaway from ICBM videos is that since the nuclear powers of the world do have MIRVs irl, we are fucked. You cant counter those apparently, all hope is lost.

I'd say literally any game is better than hoi. Literally waiting an hour clicking buttons every couple of minutes, then a dumbass war that doesnt matter if you win or lose because the game is so shallow outside of war.
