The damage model in IL2 Great Battles never ceases to amaze me, the attention to detail, on most metal planes, the wings fold, on the wooden Yak-1s, they disintegrate and splinter

If you like this, you HAVE to check out the crash model on B-17 The Mighty 8th. Its an older game but WAY ahead of its time as far as crash models. Always amazed me as a kid.

still looks often of bad weight physics, collision detection and damage model. When you see what is possible at iRacing for example these days. Still better than other flight sims tho. ;-)
