Once the cable channels(Plus Fox and the WB) came out and started airing cartoons it just wasn't as profitable for the big 3 to air cartoons. Sort of a shame Saturday Morning sort of as like the high point of my week in the 80s
There are networks that are all cartoons, at least during the day. Cartoons aren't as limited to time slots, any more. Also, if you get MeTV, they have a Saturday morning line-up and a weekday cartoon program "Toon In With Me". Great stuff!
This is the closest thing to a Time Machine we're gonna get !! Go get a big bowl 🥣 of FrankenBerry cereal, then go online and buy an adult sized pair of footy pajamas !
These YOUNGANS will never know how SPECIAL Saturday mornings were . Cereal, cartoons, clean your room, do some chores, and get on your bike or skateboard until it got dark.
Wow I actually brought a lot of these on dvd on Saturday morning about 6am I get up get my bowl,box of cereal and milk, sit in front my TV set, play Scooby-Doo, the Jackson 5, Penelope Pitstop and Josie and the Pushy cats, sometimes the Archie's only one missing is the Globetrotters original cartoon. Don't do it every Saturday but most bring back such joy and memories.Spent all that time wishing to get older only to wish I was a kid again. Always remember the song from Room 222 Richies gang, I'd rather stay a child, as an adult I realize every word was so true. Saturday mornings was the best!!!
I used to wake up almost 5 am to watch The Dirty Rascals…The Glory days of Saturday Morning….Everyone knew from school what each kid was doing on Saturday morning and after all cartoons were done you would go play outside with your friends lol Now asking kids to go outside it’s either they find it boring or like this summer they cannot with all heatwaves plus forest fires…In the 70s and 80s we had those but not to the degree of this summer
We had a small Television in our bedroom And my husband at 6 am was switch the tv on to watch the cartoon on Saturday morning when I want still to sleep Was in the 70 he still watch cartoon at 78
Not only Saturdays but after school there was always cartoons or after school specials. I remember Sunday nights my family would gather around the TV watching the wonderful world of Disney. I really enjoyed growing up those decades. I wish I could just relive it one more time.

I just turned 61. Grew up watching all of these great cartoons on Saturday mornings. Sometimes the simplest, most ordinary activities make the sweetest memories.
It's funny you mentioned this. I thought the same thing. The past couple of years, usually when I have a bowl of cereal, I load up these old Saturday cartoons just like when I was a kid.

2:15:25 2:15:31 I'm over 60 years old and I watch all my nostalgic cartoons. There are no better cartoons than those of yester years especially with a bowl of cereal!
I watched these when i was little, now i am watching them with my daughter who has Cerebral Palsy and is a young lady. I enjoy watching these cartoons with her they bring back so many memories. Thank you .
I can remember every Saturday morning while my parents were in bed, my brothers and I would go downstairs in our pj's pour ourselves a bowl of cheerios and watch all of these cartoons 😅❤

I really love School House Rock. Thru the early days of cartoons, not animations, we learned, got to hear lots of symphony music. Those were the days, when couldn't wait for Saturday morning. 😊

Isn’t that the truth!! I learned far more from School House Rock (& Sesame Street RIP Jim Henson) than I did in School. Certainly us Canadian Kids knew more about your Constitution than we did our own thanks to SHR. 😁

I was able to remember a lot thanks to the songs from School House Rock, plus phonetics from Sesame Street and the Electric Company 😁

Curiosity Shop, Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Josie and the Pussy Cats, HR Puffnstuff, Lidsville, Land of the Lost, Dick Dastardly and Penelope Pittstop, Bullwinkle, Johnny Quest, Sigmund and the Seamonster, Super Friends, I can’t believe I remember so vividly. I loved my Saturday morning cartoons you had three channels to chose from. Out if my siblings who ever got the remote first we had to watch what they wanted 🥴🤣
Raisin Bran was what I had to eat to get my very first prop. A plastic "Freddy the Flute", complete w/ a mouth hinge and a way to play it as a flute. Priced one once, still unassembled...big $$. (still looking for a substitute)

I was born in the 80's( 85) grew up 90's kid but I grew up watching and loving all the oldies but goodies . This is a wonderful blast from my childhood past too when cartoon network was truly cartoon network and boomerang was truly boomerang ad played all these gems
This was an amazing experience! Down to the commercials of my youth! TY so much for letting me revisit my youth and a much simpler and, in my opinion, funnier cartoon time.
This is so obviously Scooby Doo from an alternate dimensional plane. Same voices, sound effects and style., I do know this is made by the same people at Hanna-Barbara.
