Take one step at a time. Listen LDS music on youtube, general conference, attend church meeting. 1 Nephi 3:7; 2 Nephi 33:3; Moroni 8:2-3; God loves you because you are His Spirit child (I changed the word from daughter to child). It was a life changing experience for those 3 or 4

I could say the same thing with my mission. I actually served the same time but in Australia. I felt that my time serving was a waste I baptised 11 of our fathers children, so they could have the opportunity that I do. Of those 11, 2 are still active. But I realised that my mission was not to do with how many baptisms I got but what I got from my mission. I never had a leadership position nor was I looking for one. What I learned was that I needed to listen to God and do his will his way not mine, to trust in him and to be willing to fulfill my duty and my covenants in everything. I would not change that knowledge and those experiences for anything. Can a give you a challenge? If so read on if not don't... Look back on your mission, look back at your journal, old mission planners, letters to the president's etc. See where you were before your mission and then where you were after. Did you grow in spirit and knowledge, did you learn something or experience something that brought you closer to your father in heaven? Most of the time a mission is not about who you teach or how many you baptise it is about your growth to your father in heaven and your relationship with him. Not the stats that we garnished. If you baptised 1 person then it was a successful mission. If you didn't baptise anyone but grew to know your father in heaven and Jesus Christ then you were successful. That is what I learned.

I think you never know what a positive effect you are having on people as you serve, even though you may not be racking up noticeable statistics. Your attitude and dedication is blessing the lives of all those around you and who you come in contact with and you don’t even realize it until they bear a testimony and mention you as being a great blessing in their lives. That is humbling. Even the most hardened, and weighed down in sin person can see and feel your light and is blessed by it.

@@paulatkinson4774 very well put Paul. I would like to tell all you missionaries thank you for serving the Lord's people. You are a major part of the backbone of the gospel of Jesus Christ. God bless you all and your families. Don't Ever look at your mission as a failure, we depend upon you and your strength to touched the hearts of so many wounded soldiers. Yes there will be some casualties and this Great War we're in today. We must fight the evil with everything we got. Never leave your armor behind. I look at you and see Navy Seals of God. The best-of-the-best is chosen. This is like the same War that was fault in heaven before the world was. And now we're fighting it again.

Thank you for serving fierce trying to gather more soldiers for the Lord. Thank you for serving in the Lord's army. We are grateful for your service and that Gospel of Jesus Christ.

only they got the name wrong! :( They called the day Saturday when the Lords WOrd calls it the Sabbath (Luke 23:54-24:2)

Yes! Absolutely! It’s the most important, vital relationship that we should and can have. It is a reciprocal relationship with them. It’s such a wonderful amazing Love that I is indescribable. There are no words to fully expressed this love is available to all of us. Who’s Hills and valleys and although I’m far from perfect I am so grateful and humbled this relationship with my father in heaven and Jesus Christ. There’s a talk that Elder Holland gave, it not from General Conference. It’s more like his own personal testimony he gives sitting down talking about his relationship with them. I’m down with a bug or I’d find it. Still I immensely grateful that I have been blessed to experience this reciprocal love, that I had just recently shared this reciprocal circle of love that goes up and comes back to me from Him, that goes up to Him and comes back to me and it’s such a beautiful place to be. Let us seek it with all our heart’s, with every fiber of our being for it is priceless!
