Oh my goodness Robin...you are such a beautiful master of color. It is amazing watching you share your color journey in your quilts. So very beautiful! :) Thank you for all the loveliness you share with the quilting world.
Your color studies help me to see blocks in completely new ways, Robin! Little details I missed suddenly become a gorgeous focal point with your keen eye. Thank you for sharing your vision with us!
Like others have said, your color studies are so helpful and educational for me. I appreciate all the thought you put into not only color hue but tone and saturation. Very stunning and original ideas in your layouts, too. I wish I had a smidgen of your talent. 😊
WOW! You are an artist!! Your color work is amazing! I love how thoughtful you were about choosing and placing color. Your table runner near the end looks like a painting! You are a very talented lady. Thank you for the beauty you put into the world.
Omgoodness! I've only been quilting about 3 years and I learned so much from just this one video! Your color studies are amazing and incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your quilty knowledge with us!
What a phenomenal video. I don't know how often you get told this but your work is out of this world. You have made my day and thank you for sharing. I am now a subscriber and look forward to more of these academy award worthy quilts!! *V*
Wow, thank you V! You just put the biggest smile on my face and I so appreciate your comment! I appreciate you coming by, watching, and your comment. Thank you!
Wow, your passion for colour certainly radiates through out your quilts. Love your layouts, colours and my goodness 3” blocks. I did Moda breast cancer quilt and the kinship 100 days/ 100 blocks as well. I tend to be drawn to sampler quilts, and seeing your versions have given me ideas for colour and placement. Thanks for sharing your quilts. 👍❤️😊
Your use of color is shows a very creative mind! Excellent work and very inspiring! I've never joined the Moda Blockheads but I think 2024 may be the right year to try a sampler quilt. Thanks for your inspiration!
Love each of your quilts/designs. I'm very new to quilting and am obsessed with the names of the blocks, thus the question: Do you have names for the quilt blocks in your projects? If so, are they available so that I could match name to block? I want to try your blue quilt, its so beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
Love the idea of Saturday Sewcial. So inspiring. Just finished watching all the videos. Thank you for all the color ways. Am definitely checking out your ideas.
WOW I am just blown away by your take on the BHs. So amazing! Your ideas and work are exceptional 💖 I am literally speechless. Thank you so much for sharing. I did hear about you first in BH2, which was the only one I had participated so far and have yet to finish. I saw your color examples for the first block in BH5 round 2. Thought they are so cool. Thank you for doing those for us. They truly help to get ideas and opens one’s mind to the endless array of possibilities.
WOW just eye candy everywhere you look. I am so excited to find you. I have just found out about the Blockheads 5. I just love the Bird block from last year. Thank you for showing all the beautiful quilts.
Love how you set the Blockheads 2 quilt. It took such a busy quilt and settles it down. Another follower said you are a master of color and I must agree. Your Thatched grouping sings. Wow. I think I want to be your apprentice.
Amazing quilts, so very beautiful! Your color studies are so helpful! I never pass on a quilt block until I see what you've done with it. You've saved many blocks for me. You are such an inspiration and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and ideas with us.
Your usage of color is absolutely stunning 😍. Such gorgeous work. I love your usage of darker backgrounds. I have been wanting to get away from white and cream so your work is very inspiring! 🥰
Wow….this has been the most inspiring video I have watched in a long time. Truly the most beautiful colorful quilts I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
I love your color play on each quilt! You put such thought into each of them and they are so unique! Love! Love! Love the all gray and white with a few color blocks! Just very impressed with each setting and the bold colors of all the other quilts, as well! WOW!
Your quilts are stunning. Absolutely beautiful. I recently purchased your cross stitch pattern Pine Crossing. I loved the use of color in the pattern. I can’t wait to start working on it. I have it all kitted up. 🌲🌲🌲
You are an amazing designer and expert in color! I loved all your projects but that last one, the table runner I had to keep rewinding to watch again & again because the fabric you used, part of your wild blossoms collection - Wow! that fabric was just absolutely beautiful and I will try to find it somewhere! Thank you for sharing so many tips, ideas, and sources - you are a great teacher!
So happy to “meet” you & see your beautiful quilts. I love “Thatched” with all the wonderful colors!! Will watch for more of your products in the future.
Your eye for color is very impressive! I came here for the "Saturday Sewcial" and became a subscriber. I look forward to learning more from you in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. ☺
You have inspired me to learn more about color placement! I was amazed today watching your video. I’ve only thought about color in the smallness of a block… now I see how important it can be in the big picture! Thank you so much!
You are a true artist! Thank you as this is the perfect video for me for the beginning of 2024. I am going to commit to challenging myself on upping my color game. Stunning quilts! You have a new follower. 💌
Your lesson on the use ofcolor to create sampler quilts was wonderful!! I have never really tried to make a sampler because they look a lttle frenetic to me, until I saw your quilts. Thank you!!
Robin, you are a fabulous talent. Every thing you do has so many layers of thought, curiosity and passion. I've never seen any of your work that didn't both inspire and encourage me. Thank you for sharing with us today. You are always so generous with your gift.
Thank you so much for showing your quilts and your thoughts process. What a great suggestion to use the backside of your thatched fabric for a different color. You are a true artist.
Robin, thank you so much for showing us your BH quilts. They're all so gorgeous. My favorite would be what you did with the Sewcialites 2 and your Wild Blossom fabrics. That table runner is just amazing.
What a lovely lovely video Robin. I really enjoyed this. A suggestion.. how about a 108 Thatched ombre? Or even a thatched shaded stripe? Have a very happy and healthy new year, thanks for all the wonderful inspiration 😀
I dream about taking classes in color someday, so seeing your beautiful colorful creations is wonderful! I always love your Blockheads color studies. Oh, & your Sewcialites 2 table runner is a stunner - love it!! Thank you for sharing 🩷
Good morning, Robin, all of your fabric choices in your quilts are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. The Saturday Sewcial is so much fun and inspiring.
Thank you so much! It has been so fun to share these as a group. I hope we get to do more Saturday Sewcials- its fun for me too and I'm happy to meet new people. Thanks for coming by!
Thanks Elaine! Each week as I did GRAY blocks, it seemed a little underwhelming but I actually really like the end result with the pops of color. And I like having some mini quilts to fill in random spaces.
Love how you are using the thatched fabrics. I work at fabric store in MN and your fabrics fly off the shelf. Great idea with your border print. May I steal the idea? I also enjoy your cross stitch patterns.
I'm so glad to hear the fabrics are doing well at the shop. Of course I am happy for you to share the border idea. And I'm glad to hear you like the cross stitch too (my new little obsession!). Thanks so much Carol.
I love the way you use different colors, but you have a continuity or pattern using those colors. I'm not a fan of the hodge podge colors everywhere that most quilters do in a scrappy quilt. I love most of your fabric lines (I'm not a gray fan, which seems to be taking over a lot of collections).
Glad you like them! Although Dandi Duo has gray, the next couple lines coming do not...but I can't give away more than that! Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you Theresa! I don't think I can pick a favorite anymore (each is my favorite as I'm finishing it) but it was so much fun to get them all out to see again!
