Thanks Maureen! I like the other color ways too but I was drawn to how springy and light this looked with Dandi Duo on a crisp white. I'm glad you like it.
Thanks Patricia! I like the other color ways too but I liked how springy this looked with the yellows, pinks and green on a crisp white. Glad you like it!
Love each of your quilts/designs. I'm very new to quilting and am obsessed with the names of the blocks, thus the question: Do you have names for the quilt blocks in your projects? If so, are they available so that I could match name to block? I want to try your blue quilt, its so beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
thanks Robin, i've just finished piecing up the Mod Flower Box wall hanging which i love, i wanted to learn about curves which i have (brilliantly explained by you) i'm trying to decide how to quilt it now. I've never really done a quilt before , do you generally use a walking foot for the quilting part?
I am stitching these on perforated paper, do you stitch the areas that don't have a symbol and left unstitched or fill in with white? Would you still do 1/4" around them when cutting out? I'm thinking of doing that and putting on a larger piece of felt to have a border of color around. Do you have any suggestions?
It looks like you end up with as many scrap pieces as deliberate pieces. Will the scraps fit together for a smaller version? They would be useful even if they have to be trimmed later.
I am just attempting the curved piecing and found that sewing the convex and concave pieces with the convex on the top and matching the centre and quarter marks was much easier, the blocks were less distorted and no puckers.
All of your patterns are so magical! I love looking at them! I have a couple of them, but have not tackled the circles yet! Maybe now is the time! Thank you for a great tutorial!
Hello Ms Robin. I would like to learn curves, and this was a great tutorial. I would like to try one of your beautiful small wall hanging to start. As a beginner with curves, which pattern do you think would be the best for a curve beginner? Thank you so much. Such a fan of your work. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks for sewing curves. I’ve admired your patterns fora while now, but the curves have daunted me. After this, I’ll definitely be giving them a try. Just brilliant.😊
