In this video we are discussing Saturn in the 1st house, whilst also touching on a couple of placement examples - this might also resonate if you have a Capricorn rising, but this is up to you to reflect on the information to see if it does - this series is also an expansion from the other series I have made so far. Therefore, if new information presents itself from what I have mentioned in the past, it’s all good, because we are all learning - it’s a continuous process.
We will be addressing, what Saturn tells us about Responsibility - this getting our act together, as Jordan Peterson describes it! What are the lessons we should learn from these placements? Where will we be tested, as we try to learn to break our self-imposed bonds? Where must we begin our structure of security and self-sufficiency, and what are the fears that we must be willing to overcome in order to achieve these things? And lastly - what do these placements tell us about our father or other authority figures? Ultimately, what role do YOU play in the larger scheme of society?
Good to assess which sign and house Saturn is in, where Capricorn is located in your chart, which sign is ruling your 10th house (got any planets in there?), and which aspects are being made to Saturn as well.

I have Saturn in my first house in Aries Ascendant. I used to really hate this placement and do everything I can to rebel on discipline, self control etc. My rationale was that if I could just burn bright and hot enough, I can "break through" the chains of Father Saturn. Every attempt at doing this resulted in catastrophe and existential crises. Very recently I finally understood what Saturn was trying to teach me. Saturn isn't holding me back, it WANTS me to succeed and achieve my wildest dream. But if I am to reach the heights I have to be disciplined about it. I have to put in the work. I cannot just rely on my spontaneous energy all the time. I need to plan, I need to strategise. I need to think. I have to plant the right seeds to sow the right trees. Thank you Father Saturn.

I am Capricorn rising. I agree I work hard especially in my professional world. Very serious in that area of my life. And if someone is lazy in his areas of work and gives excuses or blames other instead of owning their own laziness, it completely pisses me off. I can withstand lack of talent/ability in a person, but I can't stand lack of effort /sincerity.

I have Saturn+Jupiter in my 1st house in my campanus chart in Taurus, I can definitely relate to the inner authoritative voice, whenever I’m lazy I hear this almost parent like voice go “no! You do it NOW not later!” Like it won’t let me be lazy or have fun sometimes🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I'm an Aries rising, but I have Saturn closely conjunct my ascendant; for a long time (before I started to look at my actual chart with houses and everything), I had difficulty relating to my Aries ascendant-I WANTED to be that person, but I didn't feel like I've had the lightheartedness of Aries. But when I started to read into the first house Saturn placement, everything seemed to fall eerily into place. Everything you said here is so accurate, it's a bit unsettling!! But in a good way. Thank you, I love your videos not just for how informative they are but the way you structure your thoughts.

Saturn in Scorpio, first house. Born into a home with an addict an enabler with anxiety, so I often found myself parenting my parents and their emotional needs. So absolutely, I have a short fuse for those who refuse to take responsibility and I’m very very hard on myself. I also have major issues with relinquishing control to others, because order is the way I maintain mental health. No structure = chaos = what I grew up with and was trying to fix.

wow I had so much fun listening to all the versions of Saturn placements, I gotta say I recognise myself in a few which signs play a role in my birth chart, even if my Saturn is in Sagittarius, however, I don't care for people's education, in fact most of my friends did not study further, but I worked hard to get the degrees I did. On the other hand, I recognise myself in the Libra Saturn expression ( even though I have Sun in Libra), and my chart ruler is in 12th house, so the Pisces placement of Saturn I felt strongly for too. Strange. Not questioning your knowledge, just sharing my personal experience.

sherlita scott do ppl who don't know you tend to think you have a serious personality? Have you always been very responsible and mature for your age? My saturn is in my natal 1st house (libra) i just trying to compare personality traits Ppl say i come off as having a serious personality but i have moon in scorpio as well. I would think Saturn in Cap 1st house would have the serious personality trait even more.

A S yesssss I’m very hard and serious when I first meet someone if we have anything in common I soften up they get to see my emotional side. My Libra side. My boyfriend tells me that a lot of people he know well friends he have are scared of me I don’t understand why. I just realized how unapproachable I am I would like to soften up a bit and try not to take like so seriously and live a little. I also have Neptune/cap,Uranus/cap, Venus/aqu,northnode/cap all in my 1st house.

I have a Pisces Saturn and Rising plus my Mercury is in Capricorn. It's so true what you said about Saturn in Pisces being offended when someone is apathetic to the human condition. I kinda feel that these energies feed off each other. For example when my Rising sign is in overdrive, I just go with the flow and/or use escapism(my go to M.O.). But when my Mercury in Cap kicks in, it's sort of a 180° turn. It's difficult for me to find a balance and be consistent in keeping it.

I really loved his video. I have Saturn conjunct my ascendent in sag. I also have Uranus (sag)and Neptune (cap) in this house. My Saturn squares a stellium in the 10th in Virgo(mars-sun-Vênus -mercury). The description was very accurate, but I find hard to understand the influence of the other planets and aspects in my personatily. Just after 28 I started to be more disciplined but far to be good. But I always like to make mistakes and be irresponsible but don’t try to get away with. I was a 6 out 10 in this matter. I struggle to be better and I’m goal oriented. Although i have problems with procrastination and excessive self criticism. I’m never perfect or ready and I never finish something that was self imposed.

I have Capricorn ruling the 1st and 12th House; in my first house in Capricorn I have the sun, rising, Uranus and Neptune, and my Aquarius in the 1st and 2nd house with Saturn in the first house in Aquarius; I started eating the vegan diet for environmental reasons, even before I got heavily into this, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was because of the Saturn in Aquarius that it was easier for me to see the environmental damages of the meat industry.

Ok so I’m a Capricorn rising no planets in this house however Aquarius is also part of my 1st but Aquarius is the beginning of my 2nd house this confuses me a bit. All that being said my Saturn is in my 7th house in Leo but my 7th house starts with Cancer. still going through Jang's work..im happy to find out that he too is a Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn plays a very heavy role on my chart. you are right about this approach to responsibility, it made people call me insensitive and ruthless. I'm never gonna say it's not your fault when it clearly is..action and reaction, behavior and consequences.. if I did sth stupid and I found myself in a bad situation, I'd say fair enough and do sth about it. that's probably why I also like Peterson..need mental stimulation and I have a strange relationship with the crowd..blend in and stay hidden or stand out and be original? thank you for this video.

I have Capricorn in my 1st and 12th house, Scorpio rules my 10th. I have a Pisces moon with a Gemini Venus and Cancer sun, Leo in mercury and Cancer in mars. My Saturn is in Taurus and fifth house in Gemini, my ninth house is in libra. I’m quite balanced and grounded, flighty and a workaholic in college and have a lot of friends, yet I’m predominantly focused on myself and path.

I am watching this because my eldest daughter has this placement, and she also has Sun in the 1st. Saturn is loosely conjunct the Ascendant. She has Virgo rising. This makes her a double Virgo, of course. She is one of the messiest, laziest people I have ever met. She absolutely cannot practice or rehearse anything, because it is absolutely BORING to her. Chiron is conjunct the North Node in the 6th house, in Aquarius. She has a grand Earth trine. Nothing in your video resonates with how she is. From my perspective, the Sun in the 1st makes her a bit Aries-like, and she has the worst temper. There is a heap of junk in the 2nd house which tells me she will eventually work because she wants MONEY but I haven't the faintest clue what she will do in life.

So here’s my question, I’m convinced that I’m a Saturn in the 1st person, it correlates too much with me and my life..however, it’s placed in my 12th house technically (Placidus system). I’ve heard though that if your Saturn or any planets are within 10 degrees of your ascendant (which it is for me), then you count those as being in your 1st house, even if they’re clearly NOT...anyone else heard of this or know if this is true?

AdamRising okay so this is a great question, and I can relate with you on this as well. I have a Virgo rising with Jupiter in Virgo in my 12th house conjunct my AC - I personally view any conjunction to the AC (whether the planet is in the 1st or 12th) to create a strong influence on the AC - though I don’t see it so much as having it in the 1st - I do see it as collaborating the energy of the planet with the character of the AC and ruling planet. So in your case, (I believe you have a Scorpio rising right?) - Saturn in Scorpio in your 12th house conjunct your Scorpio rising - this is bringing Saturn into play along with your Scorpio rising creating a bridge between your 12th and 1st maybe? Suggesting that you can tap into that energy much more easily? These are just suggestions though! I know with my own experiences of Jupiter conjunct the AC - I dream about travel and write lists about travel more than I actually travel - I also dream about teaching abroad but have gotten scared to follow through so many times! 😂 I do still want to travel more and teach English! ✨

Hannah's Elsewhere that’s a great description and I think you’re on the right track. as far as the 1st and 12th houses merging..so basically when your planets in the 12th are conjunct to the AC, you basically get to pick and choose whether to hide them vs using them by channeling them through your 1st? Yes that’s right, I have a Scorpio rising...with 4 planets in sign of Scorpio in my 12th, all conjunct to the AC. You have such natural talent, entertaining personality and a very animated/fun presentation style...you’d make a fantastic teacher :)

Hannah's Elsewhere LOL you have the kind of hair someone would want to get LOST in, never wanting be found again haha ;) that’s funny you mention the hair and Jupiter thing...just made me realize that as a Venus/Mars Virgo guy..I do care about my appearance from my feet to my eyes, however like you I let my hair go wild and free, I just run my fingers through it and let it ride lol...and guess what planet I have in my 1st house....JUPITER, lol
