@@worldvision-8990 its the country's business when they are being gaslighted into believeing a dictator's fantasy could be reality by planning to spend more than the country's gdp
NEOM .....Never Even One Mile. I love how they show people picking fruit from the trees......🤣 Do the people on the first 80-90 floors ever see sunlight again?? Flying cars just zippin' around. How come they don't show the industrial pumps needed to supply water to the top floors?? No time to figure out where their food comes from...save the birds from flying into the mirrors. They show trucks and diggers moving a lot of sand around for miles and miles, but not even one foot of skyscrapers. And this is to combat urban sprawl?? Your in a freaking desert...sprawl all you want. I really do want some of what these people are smoking.
I'm sure they said the same thing about the Great Wall of China which had portions built in the 7th century. Yet, here we are in 2024, where a wall exists that has portions of it over 1000 years old and is 5500 miles long. Not really sure why you think this any less possible or significant.
@@timanders3151 The Great Wall is just a stone wall with a path on it. Is it big? Yes. Is it a marvel of human architecture? Yes. Is it as delusional as this project? No. Because this project has more to it than being just a singular structure, if it was just a big chunk of mirror then obviously it would be possible, but they're trying to build a city within it. Also it's going to have a max height of 500ft compared the Great Wall which has a max height of 39ft and a width of 200 meters compared to the 6 meters wide Great Wall Also you're forgetting the immense labor costs (including the gathering of materials) that are going into this... hate to say it but many parts of the Great Wall weren't necessarily paid for Also the Great Wall is around 13,000 miles but took over 2500 years to build. The Saudi's wanted to build a 500ft, 200m wide city that stretched 105 miles by 2030... delusional
It's hilarious that they never even bothered to prep the land around it. Like, why is there not an artificial river to provide water and cool the area around the project? It will be one of the most spectacular failures of the 21st century. LOL.
what if they know something we dont ?for ex some shit like the end of the world so they decided to build this ,stuff it with billioners and millioners ,and built in some mechanism for this structure to go under the ground 🤔 of course im just throwing things random but what if
If they even get to 2km it will be miraculous. This is surely not viable? Can you imagine the forces on such tall broad slab of a building if a storm hits the region? This says everything that is wrong with the world in general. A few mega rich individuals have colossal wealth and the vast majority live in poverty.
Someone is also afraid to tell one man that this project of this size and scale will never happen. Even 2.5 miles with twin walls the height of the WTC isn't going to happen. 1 mile and twin walls 1/3rd the height maybe. This project on paper was straight out of a sci-fi movie and was never to be taken seriously of that size and scale.
This sounds similar to the Biblical Tower of Babel. It is probably a matter of time for such ingenuity to be really put to the test. The Master Builder is watching.
Millions of people living side by side with no privacy and no way to expand their homes of life styles, what happens when people are tired of living next to one another, total distance
The more I think about the line, the more I am convinced this will never happen on even a hundredth of a scale as originally envisioned. To put it bluntly, we don’t have the technology.
The Saudis have employed westerners and westerners technology to create and develop this nonsense not the locals. Everything in s.arabia in copied from the West or developed by Western brains.
I feel like somehow somebody sold this idea to this Saudi prince and it's gone so public that now he's too prideful to admit his mistake and cancel it. While this is absolutely ridiculous in its entirety, some parts of it might be smart and advantageous, like the seaport. But do you need a seaport in the middle of nowhere? Guess he's gotta build something. 😅
Not ambition but delusion. Cities and architecture develop over time. These people have no knowledge of this as they had neither before geologist George Bernard Reynolds discovered oil in Persia in 1908. Then the British development of oil production in 1913 enabled the rest of the middle East to source oil.
So the line is a part of Neom ? And Neom has a length of 2.5km (reduced from 16km) and The line has a length of 170km ? I thought the horizontal building was 2.5Km which is still massive.
This the failure of Saudi Arabia. Once the oil is gone, the money wasted from this is no longer . Then it's back to fishing like the old days. They need to start weaving baskets again for work.
looks ambitious but... How will people escape during fires, the question of evacuation? What about the transport load, that is, how about the people who have to leave and come to this city, personal transport or city transport? Why and what kind of people should and can afford to live there?
Don't waste money on such an unnecessary project. Instead, give yourself 10,000 square miles of green oasis by building several desalination plants and bringing that water into that area... It would be GLORIOUS!!!
people this days forgot our continent change size and location. they finish the line if that will happened it will not last hundreds of year. the best way to build home will last eons up in the sky.
It's a great idea to preserve nature and wildlife. As of now, vast species of animals are going extinct, deforestation is on the rise and population is increasing.
All i was trying to say is Eric is the only guy i know, that has never celebrated his life outside of celebrating life in government programs. I think Eric is a nerd 🤓, standard fun in government programs and only in government programs is not my idea of truly being a big celebrator, or celebrity 🥳 in my opinion Eric missed out on what truly celebrating 🎇 is about
He could just build a system that you can slowly add on to over time and not try to build the whole thing all at once. Just start with a giant cube, or something.
As a kid, The Prince played too much video games per his own words, so he wanted to build an outlandish prison for his subjects....and to steal turism from Dubai. Won't happen.
All that money wasted on a building project when you could be an altruistic hero and invest in the people in poverty, "teach them to fish", so to speak, and generate returns from the prosperity of their efforts 👌
Nah. It was 100% impossible. The developers did load-bearing tests in the forest (the test sites are still there). They tried to find a limit to the amount of weight the ground could withstand. The director of the entire project, Albert Speer, asked for the results. They told him NEIN!! it was impossible for a few reasons. Where would they get the materials to build this monstrosity (the Great Hall)? If the dome was built to Hitler's specs, the weight would be too much for the walls to support and would crack no matter how they reinforced it. Even if they could, it would sink into the ground. Even if they succeeded, there was another issue: the dome would be so massive that it would have its own weather. The moisture from so many people breathing would collect at the top and form clouds that could make it rain! Seriously, NASA has this problem in its hangar where the space shuttles were repaired and prepped for their flights.
We should all support Neom. If oil has been and continues to be a wealth transfer from the West to Saudi Arabia, Neom is and will be a wealth transfer from Saudi Arabia back to the West. Sure, the end result will be absolutely useless. But 99% of the development money will flow west.
Fire hazard, terrorist attack - where is the info about prevention of these? Also I bet this city is for super rich, so average people would not be able to buy apartaments. Because this building could hold like billion of people, 99.9% of it will be abandoned... :D
This isn't something that I really care if you get paid for reporting on, so if you really insist on spamming ads on the channel, I'll take the hint and go somewhere else. Don't waste my time.
Thats the futur life it will be easy to got control of people . Work at the same place boring life woke up people is that the life you wont remeber youre next life it will be this
Magor setbacks. Perhaps someone or something is telling them something. Like help the poor and homeless and the hungry and starving human beings in this world.
