Nkakaproud kasi all over the world si pomoy ang pinag uusapan Ngayon matatawa ka SA sari-saring reaction Ng mGa foreigners. Congrats Mr.pomoy wish ko makaduet mo si Celine Dion..
Marcelito is the best ,the natural talent ,no singing leccion at all ,no vocal coach, just karaoke trainning ,he living many years in the street ,so humble and talented!! GOOD BLESS
Neker Alexis Cabrera ...the filipinos mostly living in the streets of villages while kids..singing is life even on bed time they keep on singing.. while in the sea shore they are singing while walking..singing is like a food..or is like a playing game for children...singing in dual voice of female and male is normal in Philippines...
he was on Amrica's got tealent, I did not see him on Ellen's show but I don't watch TV, only on youtube,i see you are in Saudi and I hope you stay safe, xo
As well as growing up on the streets of the Philippines from the age of seven, he is self taught. He learned this song by listening to recordings and pronuouncing the words in two languages which he did not speak. Now he is married and is a father with a singing career that may take both him and us for many years to come! 💞
i'm one of those who admired him a lot as a singer, voice switching is never easy thing to do, what more will inspire you is to know his life story, he started singing when he was 7 and he sleeps on the street, at 18 he discovered his ability to switch voices, he never experience to have a voice lessons, can't afford to have a vocal coach, so technically, it is truly like what he said that it is a GOD given talent...
And now he is donating food, etc, including building a small house and some home utensils , bed and mosquito net, to an old woman who is living alone in a remote place. The woman's old house was dilapidated and...so sad to elaborate.
I consider myself a pretty tough guy, who has also been through some pretty rough times... Tears flowed, however, when I heard Marcelito sing. I am taken aback by his apparent humility and immense talent. When I put this all together with his background, I feel as though I have no right to cry - just because Marcelito has shown such courage and determination. Every so often, points converge in this wonderful Universe of ours and if we all listen very carefully, we will hear the breath of God sigh with pleasure from hearing Marcelito sing. We are all truly blessed by the gift of love and humility Marcelito brings to this world. I feel he will continue to brighten many of the dark corners of this planet with his serenades. All that remains is for each and every one of us to stop, listen and be inspired. Marcelito makes me feel like a better person, for listening to his cantoring. I am grateful for his presence.
What an absolute joy to watch your reaction. It was so natural. Just like his performance where he was sitting down in a live performance in a bus and did not miss a single note! He is truly extraordinary. We could read the joy in your facial expressions and your voice. Thank you we enjoyed it so much. Bill - Melbourne -Australia
He was born into a broken family, hardly a few years old when his mother left his family and his father ended up in jail for a long time. With no other relative to take care of Marcelito Pomoy while he was below 5 years old, he ended up joining his father inside the jail. After sometime being inside the jail cell living with other genuine criminals and his father, a police guard was moved by his plight that he took Marcelito Pomoy to live in his home with his own family. He studied in kindergarten through to his 3rd grade in grade school in a local public school. He was neglected in that family so at a very young age of about 8 years old left the only home he knew and walked the streets of Manila, Philippines, often going for days hungry, doing whatever odd jobs he can do to be able to buy a piece of bread or scraps of food he could find on the streets while searching for his mother he never really knew. All that time he learned to humm and sing himself to sleep. He did so much variety of odd jobs like being a helper in construction sites, mixing cement manually with gravel and water and carrying it to the guys needing to build hollow blocks with cement, etc., selling boiled duck eggs which is a popular delicacy called "Balot" upto the wee hours of dawn, any job an under 12 year old kid could do Marcelito had done it, excluding any criminal activities which he never did. He would hang around clubs and restaurants and watch in amazement at the talent of the singers' performing while he watched from outside the door. He started singing himself and follow the way he sees the singers sing and thru the years he kept on singing. He was a no read no write kid having left his 3rd year public grade school education to fend for himself and survived all those years. It was while Marcelito Pomoy was in his teens while cleaning inside massively large chicken pens in chicken farms that he discovered he could sing both male and female voices. His very first audiences were those clucking, egg laying chickens... we will never know whether Marcelito encouraged those hens to lay more eggs while being serenaded !!! He honed his skills further and sometime in his early 20's he was urged by his circle of friends to join a nationwide TV network singing competition in Manila. He won the competition hands down despite so many excellent competitors. He got a record deal with the recording studio arm of the same TV network and the rest is now history. His SUFFERINGS in life I just barely touched on the surface.... You won't be able to watch his RU-vid videos about his life story coming from Marcelito Pomoy because he is not comfortable talking in conversational American English. He can sing almost all songs in so many different languages with the help of a vocal coach but talk to him in English, interview him in English and he would need a translator to assist him. He is very rich now in terms of an average Filipino earning a decent living in manila, he bought a beautiful home and got married to his girlfriend and they have a child now to enrich their married blissful life as a family. He has returned to school to be more confident in his life but it's still a very long way to go for him. He does an excellent job of emulating the diction, way of delivering of the singers he hears and watches. His favorite singer is Celine Dion and Andre Bocelli and the prayer is one of his favorite songs. He first listens to each song he wants to sing, following their pronunciation, breathing patterns, etc until he's able to follow them like he did with Celine Dion etc. He never had a voice coach back then because he could not afford one before he joined a Philippine singing contest. I hope I had shed some life on Marcelito Pomoy so you'll understand better why maybe you'd notice some slight imperfections in the way he emulates other singers' songs. In one of the interviews Marcelito Pomoy was asked in Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines, the media wanted to know what was the meaning of the gesture he did pretending to cough at the end of doing a recording of the emotionally filled beautiful song THE PRAYER, he jokingly said he wanted to bring out the woman in him but did not expand any further ... maybe he wanted Celine Dion to come out perhaps ???? I'm Mr. Briones, from the Philippines, too, like Marcelito is, but I've migrated to Australia living in the beautiful city of Sydney. God Bless us all. Jhun Briones Sydney Australia
Hindi niya magagawa magiging successful kung walang abundant overflowing Graces from Jesus Christ Sacred Heart and Mother Marys Immaculate Heart.
I'm Joel Rodriguez, email: jrodriguez014@twc.com, from Los Angeles, USA.
Let's talk about the degree of difficulty of what just happened here shall we? lol First off, he's singing LIVE, with just one take...ONE. Then he's sitting down the entire time! Then he switches voices back and forth effortlessly with no time to breathe. While all these are happening he's singing in Italian (which he doesn't speak) and English but his native language is Filipino. To top it all off, HE IS SELF-TRAINED while being homeless!! HOMELESS dude!!! I mean my goodness gracious! Mad Props to this man he truly is a man of determination
You're RIGHT, in all but ONE thing, that you say. His native language is NOT Filipino, it is a Filipino DIALECT, called TAGALOG. So, in effect, there are THREE languages, involved, - English, Italian and Tagalog. The young man is a SUPERB artist, - destined for SUPERSTAR status
Our Grandparents spoke Spanish as well since Philippines was colonized by Spain in 333 years then. But the new generation not. He speak Pilipino or Tagalog language which was 4,000 words of Spanish borrowed, used for Tagalog for common expression everyday.
A big round of applause to a living Legend ! Marcelito practiced his dual voice singing technique when he was working in the poultry farm and a construction firm,...
I really enjoyed watching your reaction. Got me emotional. And to think Ive watched him sing this a thousand times haha. Thank you for appreciating Pomoy's talent. He is so amazing.
i do watch lots of reactions just like you did here, but what amazed me is the thought that Saudis are open to this kind of reactions, I'm so happy to learn now that middle eastern people are open minded, wait till you hear me singing...hahahaha
Marcelito makes it easy because he can. He is a singing angel on earth. For me, this is his absolute masterpiece, something of crystal clear sung, the bright madness. I can't really think of a second person who can do it better
thanks for reacting, nice reaction... Marcelito really has a very powerful voice... like u do, i still have goosebumps everytime i listen to him sing this song... 👍👏😍
I enjoyed not only Marcelito Pomoy's cover of "The Prayer" but also your reaction! It definitely is a sign of not only an exceptionally beautiful song, but also the singers ability to not to just tug on the heartstrings but to pull on them enough to have whoever is listening to be in shock, have goose bumps, butterflies in their stomach, and yes, ultimately cry. I have seen so many reactors from those who put on a tough face to those who are just themselves melt into a pile of emotions -positive emotions. It's my opinion that if everyone could use singing to bring all people to this melted emotional state, the world would be such a better place. Oh, by the way, you have such beautiful eyes and the glimpse of your personality!
Thanks sir Steved Gregg for the the wonderful comments about Marcelito Pomoy..really ..he is gifted from God..because of the hardship that he passed in his life before. Now God give him too much in return.Because his faith to God is tight.God bless u sir..and my idol Marcelito Pomoy. With love from Philippines.😘😂❤
Hi Nahjudy, I am a Former Filipina but now I’m Saudi, watching you from Alkhobar, anyway thank you so much for appreciating Marcelito Pomoy songs . There is no Filipinos that doesn’t know singing. Mostly or 90% of the Filipinos loves singing. Singing is the best way of relief the stress.
He is a gifted singer .. no training, no voice lessons .. but his humility and the hard life he had since as a child was rewarded by God with this awesome gift.
He is a Filipino singer with a GOD given talent , known for having a combination voices of soprano & tenor. Grand winner of Philippine Got Talent 2. No actual voice training.
I really love watching you react to the prayer. Your eyes tell the whole story so beautiful and such expressions , fun to watch He has about 6 or 7 singers he mimics .I just wonder what his real singing voice is. He may not know himself Regardless he is very good singer. He will pull the tears right out of your eyes Stay safe stay cool. From across the pond (lower 48 )
God bless to all Filipinos around the world and to all that make comments and reactions to all our Filipino singers video,, thanks evetyone,,, God bless us all
Thanks a lot Mr. Jhun Briones for posting the life of Marcelito Pomoy, an endangered species of a singing talent to the world. God bless you and your loved ones for being a patriotic Filipino.

Thanks for the gentlemen below who described his tragic hardships growing up. In any event. he overcame them and to me was the true winner of America's Got Talent.
This Filipino talent is extra ordinary. The inner talent combined with all the experience in singing, Marcelito has shown to us is far beyond imagination.I'm not sure if there is another one coming. I think with all the support he has internationally touching the hearts and minds of the viewers like me is an inspiration what music brings to life. May God Bless you Marcelito and stay humble as you are.
OMG!! 😇🙏 This is a beautiful christian song by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, he did a very good cover. He has SKILLS... is Amazing, but what is Great really is how he changes the voice and not in a agresive way. Wonderful. GOD Bless 😊😇🙏💗
"The Prayer" is not a Christian song, it was part of the soundtrack of an animated film entitled "The Quest for Camelot"... the song is a mother's prayer for the safety of her daughter who went on a quest to find "Excalibur", King Arthur's sword. Just saying. ; D
@@RLJuntarciego , originally it may not be a Christian song since it was the OST of "The Quest....", but in no time, it came to be one because of the lyrics that jive with Christian beliefs.
@@RLJuntarciego David Foster, Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion are christian, they made the song and they all are christian Catholics. If you hear well, this guy sing with man voice and try to make women voice too because of Celine Dion. Speak in english because of Celine Dion and David Foster that is compositor (they both are canadian) and in italian because of Andrea Bocelli (he is italian). They all have more christian songs. Look at Andrea's Ave Maria and christmas songs, look Celine Dion christmas album "Speacial Times" and many others. Great, Amazing and wonderful music too. GOD Bless 😊😇🙏💗👍✌✊
@@chattcedric6321 the song doesn't mention of the Christ or any specific Christian belief, the song is a prayer, a "prayer" to a higher being, from a movie where the characters are pagans. Remember that "prayer" is not significant to a certain belief, different faiths pray in various ways, it is not only for "Christians". The song was released 20 years ago, i don't think it was considered a Christian song til now.
@@wilsoneusebio777 if you are saying that any song produced by a Christian, written by a Christian, sang by a Christian is a Christian song (Gospel song) then you are so wrong my friend. There are singers who might sang a few Christian/Gospel song in some albums but it doesn't make them a pure Christian/Gospel singers. Celine Dion is a pop singer, Andrea Bocelli was an opera singer, and David Foster is still a pop/ballad composer/producer, they are not "Christian/Gospel" singers or composer. I also know how great Marcelito Pomoy is, I've been watching youtube videos of people reacting to his great talent for more than 2 years now.
New sub here! Very nice reaction from you Ma'am! Almost all of the foreign reactors were in total shock upon hearing him sing for the first time!😱 Please do continue reacting to our amazing Filipino talents!🇵🇭🎤🎼🎶 Good day & Godbless!👆👆
"What's happening?" Hahaha Natural and truthful reactions. Who will expect a male and a female voice from a man? Whenever you say I have a goosebumps I am feeling the same. Nice one miss @Najudy K 😍
