Marcelito Pomoy The Prayer REACTION 

Marcelito's story is nearly as amazing as his voice. His mother rejected him at birth and custody was given to his father (they had separated), unfortunately his father was serving a lengthy prison sentence, so little baby Marcelito spent the first 2 years of his life in prison with his father. He was then adopted by a prison guard, but it was not a happy childhood and at 9 years old he discovered they were not his real parents and he ran away. He survived by selling food snacks on the city streets. He says he learnt to sing with two voices (not uncommon in the Philippines) as a way to combat the loneliness. He earned extra by singing in bars and cafe's. He met a girl, fell in love and they married. They now have a child of their own, and he has been reconciled to his birth father. He entered Philippines Got Talent last year 2016, and of course won it hands down. He has turned his life around and I am so happy for him.

He has a GOD given talent....no actual voice training, a famous Filipino singer known for having a combination voices of tenor & soprano. 34 years old, married with 1 daughter, very humble guy, down to earth.

He’s from the Philippians, grew up very poor and had a hard life. It is a gift from God to us all.

A big round of applause to a living LEGEND ! Marcelito practiced his nice dual voice singing technique when he was working in the poultry farm and a construction firm...

Hahaha he is real, and he is a famous singer in our country, Philippines, we are proud of him, and he has many songs, both female and male versions...and he is really amazingly unbelievable....unique, rare, what else...it's like he is being possessed when he is singing dual voice.

The most amazing thing is he is self taught with no voice lessons.

Andrea Bocelli....the opera singer. He started his life out and at the age of 2 yrs. old....his mother left him. Not too long after, his father was put in jail, where he had to go since he had no support from family. He stayed in jail for awhile, and one of the guards felt sorry for him and took him home. He stayed there until about age 8 and then set out for himself, doing what he could (cleaning store fronts, working on construction sites, etc) to support and feed himself. He said he stumbled upon his dual voice while he was working on the chicken farms. I absolutely LOVE him.!!

It's not possible to have a voice with that kind of range. Impossible-and yet he does. It's an absolute marvel. To add to it: He doesn't have any vocal training. He's a phenomenon; it's otherwordly.

Marcelito was left by his mum to his dad at 6 mos and later the dad went to jail and he grew up with him there for 2 yrs . He was taken by the guard to live with him but after learning at 7 yrs old he is adopted he went away and searched for his dad. He was unfortunate to have lived on the streets and have odd jobs like cleaning chicken maneur, feed the chickens , helper in mixing cement , just to be able to eat. He has wandered and lived and slept in the streets at some point. He would sing and hum himself to sleep. He would earn around $1 a day to feed himself. God must have guided him to get to where he has come because after all the hardships he never made any crimes and he didnt give up. Later on at age 18 he discovered he can sing both male and female songs. He was amazed by singers that he used to watch in bars. Then one day his co workers urged him to join a singing contest where he later won 2 million pesos. He is blessed and now has a family and has signed a contract with a recording company in the Philippines. He has decided to study to help him with his career and according to hearsay he is still in hrade school. All the best for u Marcelito . GOD BLESS YOU MORE

He was an orphan from the Philippines at age 7 and lived on the streets and when he was scared he sang he did the Filipino America's Got Talent in 2001 or 11 I can't remember and he won and he was reunited with his mother and father and all of his siblings at that time the whole country in the Philippines was looking for his family for him he has sang with Celine Dion on Ellen America's Got Talent where he was a fourth finalist and should have one that was rigged in my opinion he's just a great singer he's 35 years old now and has gotten married and has a two-year-old daughter and now lives in California wonderful wonderful person and the most beautiful Angelic voice I think I've ever heard he sings many many other songs
