@simsonyee No he smacked his leg... Its a technique to motivate your partner to get back in position... If its a girl you smack her on the ass; a sign of respect for female jits practitioners of all levels!

@JohnnyDooWopp It's unlikely that a beginner practitioner could do much of anything against an experienced practitioner :) But if you look at it in the context of two opponents with the same experience level, then sure this technique can be done.

What if the top guy is controlling the opposite collar and using it to pin your shoulder to the mat? Will this sweep still work?

Post the outside leg outside the hip and drive off it so he cant flatten you without committing his weight. If he commits his weight you hit the sweep

Go for a shin to shin guard and elevate you opponents foot every time they drive theirs weight through their knee

Am I wrong or does this look like a more advanced move? It seems unlikely that a beginner practitioner would be able to do this against an experienced practitioner.
