@@Shizlberry97 yeah played the game n finished it, but a heard a gaming pitch on what would make a great Threequel, the idea being your calebrimbor (such a tricky thing to spell) in a deadly showdown with Sauron, sure it breaks away from what we know of middle earth lore and history but the idea sounded intriguing enough, apparently in this pitch the fall of his tower only broke his spiritual form with that Sauron becomes unbound and untethered, the blue star that shoots off when the tower exploded was calebrimbor being separated, the idea did sound pretty good

Yeah, there is so much lore breaking in this game, but I love it because it’s accepted this game being a game, a fan service. And it’s the story, the intention behind it, no political agenda or Woke trash. And because of that, they can fuck the lore and still make me happy. But Amazon have fucking clue.

In the end it wasnt the forced woke inclusion even those characters are kind of likeable. At this point Elrond, Galadriel and Cerebrimbor are just unlikeable characters and look nothing likes elves.

You should really read the silmarillion. Sauron is a cowardly little bitch compared to the elves of the first age. You want to know power? An entire continent sunk because of a war between gods. 8’ tall humans wanted to conquer heaven. A dragon the size of a mountain existed. An elf wounded the second most powerful being in creation. The gods spoke to mere humans and gave them favors.

Well, he actually does come back, and in a deleted scene. The issue is it doesn’t make any sense at all. We literally get to see him tear up an army in the beginning of fellowship, that’s basically all of the information we need to know that this guy can’t be allowed to return.

Let me explain. Sauron is a Maiar. Basically a lesser God or a Minor God. He cannot be completely be destroyed but he can be reduced to almost nothing. A spirit of the wind. A harmless ghost. The Ring has most of Sauron’s essence/spirit/power, which is why he needs it back to gain his full power back. The Sauron that we see in LOTR is a weak one but powerful to command armies and Ringwraiths. The reason we don’t see him in the movies at all is because he can’t really take physical form, if I remember correctly. The Ring is able to corrupt and destroy anyone who wears it because the Spirit of Sauron is in it. Essentially, Sauron influences the wearer To self destruct themselves. The movies of the Lord of the Rings doesn’t show the full strength of Sauron, because at his full strength, The Free People of Middle Earth would be enslaved and the realms of Gondor and Rohan would be at his command. Not to mention, the 3 Elven Rings would be located and be at risk of falling into Sauron’s hand. I’m a huge Tolkien fan so feel free to shoot any questions

​​@@Rvckyricardo1- sauron can not use his full ainur power because he entered ea. Eru took away like 99.9% of his powers to make destruction less likely. Same with all ainur. Including the istari. 2- he did have physical form in the third age. But it was too weak to do much. Hence why he didnt make an appearance.

The games were Shadow of mordor, followed by its sequeul, Shadow of war.

The Valar and Maiar all had varying levels of power between them. Melkor was the strongest of the Valar (before he reduced himself to Morgoth pouring all his energy into the world), and Sauron is probably the strongest Maia apart from Eonwe and MAYBE Melian. In fact, Sauron at his strongest (Second Age with the Ring pre-Akallabeth) was stated to be mightier than Morgoth at his weakest (War of Wrath, end of the First Age).

God yeah. Both the Middle-earth games and Rings of Power shit all over the established lore, but at least the Middle-earth duology is entertaining and actually maintains the ESSENCE of LotR. The same CANNOT be said for RoP.
