Great little plinker/squirrel getter! These have always been a great old Savage design. They've been using that bolt stop/release system since the old click/clack design in the 40's because it works and works well. The downside is the trigger BUT, there are parts and vids available showing how to tame that best into something better, My favorite trigger upgrade shop is MCarbo and they have things available for it. Upgrades on an inexpensive rifle aren't all that expensive. Maybe a video series on this one???
For the price ya can't beat it, steal receiver an actual metal mag. 180$ in Canada. Could use a better trigger but for the cost come on. Wood stock is the way to go!!
I been leaning toward the A22 to match my MK IIG, but that 64 might be fun. Wish Savage would've used the 64 mags for their other offerings. If ya didn't have to remove the bbl to clean the guts, I'd be 100% on board for one tho. And with my old eyes, definitely a scope. Hope ya do a more in depth peek at it soon.
Tippy pa de taps 😂😂😂 Love it!! Have this same rifle in synthetic version. Fun to shoot, eats ammo like crazy. I agree with the guy above, the mag release sucks! Trigger is only about ohhh 357.8 pounds 😂😢😮 but a great little plinker on the cheap.
I've been looking these at wally's store. Pretty cheap. Everyone I have seen in a video have shot pretty dang good. Just a hard trigger. You had pretty good group going, probably get smaller with a scope. Whatcha think?
