The “zombies” in the game aren’t your typical zombies they’ve essentially just had their brains melted from psychic storms that happen occasionally in the zone. Those guys in white camo near the beginning are Monolith who are brainwashed Stalkers who kill anything that get to close to the center of the zone
@@rmcgowa1987 Not technically Zombified, they’re just finished product from the X16 lab after being kidnapped from the 2001 incident or some kidnapped loners.
STALKER ( acrynom as Scavenger , Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, Robber) is basically based off from a novel book written by two soviet writers with the title called:"Roadside Picnic" which it took place in Canada where aliens come to earth, stay there for a while and left the earth with their wastes. Then it essentially make the place called "The Zone". Now in video games, it took place in Chernobyl, Ukraine where the place has anomalies that abuse the law of physics and time, mutated creatures with special properties like invisibility, mind control, etc. The Zone originally housing 10 factions which are Free Stalkers, Bandits, Clear skies (Dead), Renegade (Dead), Ecologist (Scientists), Duty, Freedom, Mercenaries, Monolith, Sin and ISG (both cut from game). Those zombified stalkers or Zombies you saw in the video are zombified stalkers who retain some memories of using guns however less accurate. The urban white camo dudes you saw are Monolith which basically are brainwashed stalkers who was captured and brainwashed into brainless slave whose goal is to stop anyone from going further into the heart of the zone which is Pripyat and Chernobyl NPP. In the video, the main character you see was the mercenary doing jobs from people who are in charge of the faction. At the end of the clip, the mercenary was paid off by ISG or International Scientific Group which is kinda like United Nation combined with Ecologists / scientists whose goal is to research about the zone. The alarm you heard in the video was the warning of a blowout which is an emission that can fry your brains out if you did not get into shelter quick and later you will turn into zombified stalkers. The only way to survive a blowout or emission is to get to a building where it's fortified enough to protect you. The STALKER lore is very complicated but if you want to enjoy the atmosphere of the Zone and the immersion of exploring the magical wasteland. I suggest play STALKER: Anomaly mod. Unless you want to understand the story of it, I suggest play in this correct timeline of each game, STALKER: Clear Sky > Shadow Of Chernobyl > Call Of Pripyat. And sorry if my English is not good but I tried. Hope you like it.
Here are faction in stalker fan fim Bandit. 12:05 UNISG. 17:59 Monolith. 11:18 Ecologist 14:37 Mercenarie. 8:40 Military. 10:33 Zombfifed Stalker 10:38
The creature yall confuse with a zombie that the guy drops with his rifle in the stalker lore is called a "Controller" they are a heavily mutated human that can basically melt your brain.
Looks like it could have been made in Source Filmmaker which is connected to the Source engine that games like Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Portal and Left 4 Dead were built in.
So a bit of context around stalker, you're pretty spot on aside from the game was always set in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Stalker was a pretty average to middling game for a lot of it's existence. (still seen as pretty niche slavjank) However, youtubers who saw the potential in the game brought the game a massive audience and it EXPLODED in popularity relatively recently within the last 5 years. The community is very passionate and have kept the series going strong for almost 2 decades now. I love your guys' videos, been watching since you were on gameology. Keep up the great stuff guys and have a Merry Christmas!
@Savage Actual You might want to check a shooter called F.E.A.R (First Encounter Assault Recon). It's 15 years old but it combines both horror and first-person shooter elements together. The melee attacks are more realistic, like doing spin kicks in fights. The story is about a recon team that is investigating some "Paranormal activities" at a business corporation. If you like Stalker, you might want to pick this up.
I’ve seen a couple of veterans react to this, and the general consensus towards the end of the video was that they would all keep shooting the thing controlling their minds.
For a little context (im somewhat new to the zone myself but i know my way around a bit.) S.T.A.L.K.E.R takes place in the real world surrounding the Chernobyl Nuclear plant and its following disaster. In this world however, the disaster brought about some rather drastic changes aside from simple radiation. That firey storm you guys see are one such anomaly. (Also "Anomalies" and "artifacts" are a common phrase in the universe here) that inferno like occurrence is referred to as an "emission storm" or a "blowout". These storms have one of 2 outcomes. 1 is simply death. The other is the brain basically gets melted and turns people into these zombie like creatures. Also that one guy you thought was "turning" people was whats known to be called a "Controller" which is a heavily mutated human who has the power to turn your brain into mashed potatoes. Not literally obviously, but it might as well be true.
So about the Smoking in this game... In stalker the character Smokes to Remove Radiation from his body Consuming both a Cigarette and using a Match stick to light it up like our Character in the film, you can also use Radiation Tablets but those are Expensive, another is Alcohol but the Alcohol Blurs your Vision and makes your POV Sway around and that's why Smoking is your best option to remove Radiation
Actually animated by a crackhead named SODAZ. I say crackhead because this guy has to be on something to be able to animate something like this by himself, crazy stuff
2:42 LMAO! Tell em Jason and Patrick! Love how the TRUTH will never be watered down due this OH so Sensitive society that social media has molded people to become. Can't stand people nowadays who just conform without any thought of why. Ask that person "why" and give them 1 minutes to come up with their perspective longer than 3 sentences. Simply NOTHING in the end. It's an awesome social experiment as well.
Stalker goes into the possibility of the noosphere being a thing. There's a bunch of scientists in the CNPP who messed with the noosphere and that's what causes those big storms, theres so much indepth lore and id be writing a book length comment if i go into it all. The gumby looking dude is a controller a type of mutant created by the scientists in the zone.
Actually controllers used to be human they as well as a few other mutant types were convicts that the "group" bought and did all sorts of horrible highly illegal experiments on them turning them into what you see.
hey could you react to another animation call Spall and Splinter by reticulon, it's really impressive tactical film. especially since it's all made by one guy.
This video has subs, and the game is very good but the animation you see here was made using SFM because the game engine for the old games is almost 2 decades old.
You guys have the wrong movie in the thumbnail and description, you listed the upcoming live action by Evan Royalty that hasn’t released yet, this is an animated film by someone else.
@@vasillas5617 Exactly! The actual live short isn’t even out yet and they think this is the final product? And you’re right, funny how another channel of veterans reacted to the EXACT same video, using the correct thumbnail!
@@scarletina8899 Yooo they even used the wrong description for the video. Dunno who their editor is, but wow didn’t even bother looking up the actual description from the animated video.
