He sometimes seems almost arkwartly shy, if he is not totally comfortable with the people around him. Maybe because he is so intimidating, but does not like to be, so ge keeps quiet. Man in the first video of this trip Martins seems intimidated by Thor's presence.

Smart of Thor to train Martins. I mean, if Martins can put pressure on Brian by points in some events it can screw his game plan. Not that it's easy to beat a healthy Brian, but this is also a mental game on what events to go hard on. And Martins has some good strenghts overall to battle with. For sure Thor is the main favorite to win next WSM. But you can never count out Brian and there is only a few years before Martins and the other younger ones start to take over. Still, nice to see all these collabs. Would actually want to see a collab with Haftor and Brian and just some regular day to day life except some training and gym bantering.

The reason they made the rogue yoke so high is so you could use it for other things like a sandbag throw. They fit with j-hooks, spotter arms, etc. as well.

So much respect for Martin's, this guy is competing against monsters like Thor and Shaw and he's finishing high. I mean absolutely no disrespect towards him when I say this but he looks like, well, me. I'm positive that if I saw him in person he'd be a giant however on vid he just looks like your average 'big' guy. Martin's knows how to train, he knows how to work and he's studied the best way to lift for competition style wise. Cheers bud, best of luck at the soon to come comp

Seriously though I imagine the yoke is so tall to help counterbalance heavier weights or perhaps to make it useable as a prop in other exercises. Heck you could probably throw plates on that thing and use it for chin-ups.

holy moly, unless Thor is holding back it really looks like Martins is way stronger at the moment. The stone over bar was incredible, every single rep the stone went flying over the bar, one motioned with huge clearance and no tacky! If there was any event Thor should destroy Martins in it should be that.

I have been a strongman fan since Kaz was competing and when Franco Columbu stepped in a hole doing the fridge carry. It is really great so many of these guys are on RU-vid hopefully getting decent income, Competitors training together where else are you going to see that ? That their videos are entertaining and instructional is just a huge plus. Thanks so much for putting this content out there and good luck in WSM.
