Kelly! Can you please do a Skin1004 Probiotic line only video? I would love to hear your detailed talk about it. Or even comparing it to the simple original centella line. Huge thanks if you do so 😘
This video really made me realize how differently products can affect different skin types . I’ve grown to love the glass skin serum my skin is super dry and dehydrated and it definitely settles into my skin rather fast and I think it leaves a nice do we finish. And I don’t find it tacky at all. Very interesting!
Thanks for suggesting a dupe for the Biossance Repair Cream! I love it but would never pay for it 😂 and I ran out of my stock from 'gift with purchase'! On a side note, I would love to see a review on probiotic/fermented products, especially a comparison between Rovection Forever Young Biome Ampoule and Isntree TW Real Bifida Ampoule 💜
Hi Kelly. Macro algae - including red is also 5/5 on the comedogenic scale and while I know this doesn’t apply to everyone after trying multiple products as the star it gave me the worst cystic breakouts of my life 😭I avoid it like the plague now! But I know it also does a wonderful job at hydrating the skin and I’m glad that other people can use it to get those benefits.
Kelly, I'm always in awe of how much research you put into your videos. You deserve a million subscribers. You're my favorite skincare person. If you can, I'd love a recommendation for a dupe of IT Cosmetics Secret Sauce Moisturizer. Kelly thanks to you I discovered and continue to discover K beauty and it is a game changer for me.
Hey Kelly! Thank you so much for your videos! I really hit a wall with western skincare alone as many serums were too strong for me and mineral sunscreens kept getting in my eyes. I love how korean skincare has so many gentle ingredients to get the results you want and so affordable and how my skin just soaks it up. ♥️♥️♥️
I've been eyeing the biossance omega cream for ages now. Alice reviewed the probiocica cream and it caught my eye right away so I purchased it! Haven't tried yet but I trust both of you so Im excited to try it now 😭
Great recommendations there Kelly thank you i picked up the skin 104 centella essence and mostrizer fermented it is amazing wore it in the frezzing cold weather outside at work and my skin held up so well going foward with these two i think my skin is going to be in good condition ❤❤
Top is Kohls Lauren Conrad Collection and Lippie is YSL Volupte Shine in Showstopping Rose. Everything is linked here shopmy.us/kellydriscoll/recently-worn
I was very meh on the Peach & Lilly glass skin and the biossance omega repair cream. I think a better alternative for the glass skin would be the ordinary buffet. It's one that I've gone back to because it hydrates so well, but my skin also just feels so much better when I use it. It isn't super cheap, but honestly worth it.
The smelled scent is not the only problem with fragrances. Anything from citrus (limonene) or linalool (lavender) is particularly annoying to my skin. I actually avoid all terpenes in skincare, because I’ve found that my skin won’t tolerate them. I’d be more likely to try the Versed cream anyway. The Skin1004 cream looks like something I’d like. Thanks!
I think I’m From’s Rice Cream is close to Tatcha’s Dewy Cream. I actually might like the Rice Cream better because it is not as occlusive and dewy as Tatcha’s. Both are still fantastic products though that I will repurchase or ask for as a birthday gift! My partner (this past Easter) did an entire basket full of Asian Skincare. Probably like 20 items. It was the best Easter basket ever!
I am on my third jar of Skin1004’s Probiotic-Cica Enrich Cream. It is the moisturizer I choose most often because it has a lovely texture and works so well for my mature, dry skin. I also have rosacea, so my skin is sensitive and needs calming, so I really appreciate products with Cica.
Another possible dupe for the peach & lily serum is the anua peach 70% niacinamide serum! It has 70% peach extract, 5% niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid!
The Peach & Lily Glass Refining Serum just never impressed me, and you well captured many of my criticisms. It's basically HA, cica components, and niacinamide. With a little Argireline thrown in to fool you into thinking your skin is actually improving. It's also $40. I don't understand the hype. Grab the Purito Unscented Centella Serum at nearly double the volume for half the price.
@@elizabethemmanuel1181 I like it. It's a good value and a really nice "I need this routine to be short but effective" tool in the box. It's hydrating and covers all the bases. It's also got a bunch of peptides in it as a bonus. If you value a simple routine, I recommend it. When I look at my routine overall, however, which is a little more involved, I'm finding that I already have peptides and niacinamide and soothing ingredients on board all over the place, so I may actually move a bakuchiol serum into its morning slot to supplement my retinol in the p.m.
Hi Kelly. Love love love the content. Yes most definitely I want to see dupe 4. I have a question. Does the ingredients moisturization correspond to occlusivity. What exactly is in the Skin1004 enrich cream that gives it that occlusiveness that’s not in the Biossance?
It is dependent on the qualities that the ingredient provides as well as the amount used. For example, SKIN1004 and Biossance share some emollient ingredients with very light occlusive properties like squalane and shea butter but SKIN1004 also uses less recognized film formers like Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate and Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 to help seal things in.
Kelly I have heard that the CocoKind Resurrection Polypeptide cream is also an identical dupe for the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, only without fragrance. Have you tried that one?
Hi Kelly! Love your videos, but I’ve recently noticed an electrical buzzing/ high pitched “eeee” sound in the background of your videos. Not sure if it’s just me, but I don’t hear it in other channels’ videos. I was wondering if you could maybe double check your sound stuff? I still watch all your videos, but the sound kinda drives me crazy 😅 just thought I’d say something in case anyone else hears it too
I’ve always wanted to try the Tatcha, but I have used so many Asian beauty creams and sort of expected it to be similar in texture which is my main thing I love textures and maybe it’s just so much $ because it’s in Sephora? And of course the packaging Lol idk. I know a few friends who use it who’ve never dabbled into k or j beauty and they think it’s texture is like nothing else so they pay top 💵 for it but no thanks with the essential oil
I can see all the humectants in the Tatcha Cream, but why add Gold? It does nothing for the skin & just makes the cream more expensive. Gold Bond & Neutrogena have great lotion/ creams that work just as good. To seal it in at night, I use Pipette Baby Balm that has Squalane. You can also use Aveeno Oat Oil to seal it all in. Walmart has the lowest prices on all of these. There’s my dupes.😉
I've heard good things about Tatcha (I only tried a gifted sample myself), but there's something about this brand that doesn't draw me in. Maybe the price tag? (although, truth be told, before I discovered K-beauty I had been known to spend a pretty penny on some products...)
It's a lovely line but I feel ya on not being totally drawn in. For me I think it's because so many Asian Beauty products can deliver the same ingredients and results for far less. I appreciate packaging but it's not a must for me so Tatcha has always been something I've mostly skipped. Their essence is one product I really want to test one day though!
Hi Kelly, Please would like to ask if I can put 2-3 drops of TO pycnogenol into the purito unscented centella serum and use it as a moisturiser under my spf. It will be any chance degrade their benefits? Thank you very much @KellyDriscoll
Love you Kelly, but I'm very skeptical of the "botox" claim of peptides. In order to do what botox does it has to get deep past the dermis to the muscles which is almost impossible for any topical to do. I think its a bit misleading to tell the audience that it has that effect without referencing extensive research that isn't funded by the peptide manufacturer.
Yep I actually have been educating people on the lofty claims of Botox peptides for about 5 years but ofc I can't get into the weeds every single time I mention them. I always like to make sure people know these are not going to meaningfully change the structure of their skin to treat fine lines and wrinkles which helps people understand the limitations.
Yes it can have very light occlusive properties but SKIN1004 has addition film forming ingredients that help hug everything in and help it last on the skin like Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 and Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate.
