I really needed a better setup for starting seeds, but I didn't have a huge budget to get it done ... so I came up with this idea of wood shelves that fit my aesthetic with LED strip lighting. It was easy and cost effective!

My husband has been in construction forever, and even though we've been married 45 years, I don't think, I know, I would not have done such an excellent job installing those shelves. Maybe I rely on him to much to do all the work, or maybe he wouldn't trust me!!🤣 It's very impressive!! Thoughts: Could you create some kind of risers to raise your seedlings instead of purchasing more shelving? Maybe turn some pots upside down. I know you're going for a specific look, just a thought to cut costs. Great job!!

+Janice Tanner that’s a good idea … maybe just something as simple as terracotta pots from the craft store … I’ll be showing what new seed trays I’m using next week … they are smaller that I have used in the past but I believe a better fit for the level of gardening that I do.

Are the lights full spectrum? Thats what is recommended for plants.

I just planted 17 boxes of 3*4 seeds last week, and I am thinking of building the growing light shelves leveraging your great ideas! After using it, how do you think of this design? You might want to use something lighter as a riser for your seedling trays, like plastic trays turned upside down. These shelves look wonderful.
