not just that tour either. if you look back on all the interviews, the old ones, new ones, any of them, you will learn alot about him. he truely is a great person
@ParasectFTW He was never charged with anything. the reason for jasin being kicked out has changed 2 or 3 times now, out of brent's mouth by the way. the people in the band are different, the band is different, the music is the same.
@ParasectFTW what i'm saying is yes, he was arrested, but he was released and not charged with anything. and the official story as to why he was removed from the band went from being, not an exact quote but was something along the lines of 'legal issues' to things were just pure hell and we had to get rid of the cause. the arrest was a convenient reason to get him out before before the release of SOM and give him no credit....
@ParasectFTW What do you mean by that? Each member of a band is very important to the sound quality and if you really like all the members of the band... it is a big deal... No one and I mean no one will ever sound like Jasin and Brent singing and playing together..( yes I am only talking about Shinedown so don't start talking about other bands). They just had IT!! What ever... IT... was.. was amazing!!!!!!!!!
Whatever the reason is does not matter any more!!! It was their business not ours.....The band will never be the same again.... As great as it was!!!!!!!!! It's very sad indeed.........Remember the first sign of a liar is someone that plays with their hands and can't keep eye contact.........
he was out of the band two days before he got arrested. they didnt announce him gone till the day after his arrest. it is none of our business who did or didnt get credit on SOM. it is what it is so accept it. zach may never contribute as unique of a sound to shinedown as jasin- will never, actually - but he is good, and as far as amyrillis goes has contributed some great sound of his own.
well, that's not the story Brent is going with anymore... apparently now it's, and i don't remember the exact quote but it was from an interview he did in Europe, Jasin was fighting the direction brent wanted to go and brent said that he basically went off and wrote the whole record by himself, which he can say that til he's blue in the face but, personally, i will never believe that. I don't believe anything he says on the whole Jasin situation now that he's changed the reasons that J is gone.
Everytime I see brent and Jason play in a small venue like this, I always wonder if the people running it are shitting themselves because they have never heard anything so powerfull acoustically... His voice is unmatched...Especially with an acoustic setting I think the band together just drowns out his vocals which takes away from the show....Just my 2 cents I still love the band..
@ParasectFTW and if he wanted to protect Jasin's image than the ONLY 'official story' should have been internal issues in the band, not the progression of the arrest to all the problems in the band were jasin's fault. and it wasnt just 1 member, but 2, half of the band. the last thing brent has ever said to Brad Stewart was 'its all good man, i have your back' thats was 4 years ago... you're right, bands go through changes. Its not that they did, it was how it was handled.
Sorry I just can't keep quite on this one...Brent in fact does have an amazing voice.. but he's not always the most truthful person. The reason why Brad and Jasin are not in the band anymore is not really anyone elses business except their's. It's bad how things happened and the way things were handled but that's how Brent does things.. He's done the same thing to the two other bands he's sang for. He always talks about how important family is (band family) Why can't he keep one?
nad here i say, a year later, that the bands sound HAS changed dramatically. songs are played differently, and sach plays fly from the inside like he only cared to learn it halfway. sounds good? sure. sounds right? hell no.
In a band everyone is a brother to the other members, making it hard to kick a member, I had to kick my drummer, and we lie about the reasoning, so it's not a surprise that someone big would, get off their case, its hard enough to do without idiots complaining that the band has changed. Notice anything different other than faces? i dont.
it was a drug problem and then jasin got arrested it allhappend whille they were here in there home town of jacksonville fl my dad is good friends with all of the original members
As much as i do miss Jasin and Brad i've got to admit, i really like Zach and Eric a lot too. Either way, The Sound of Madness was an amazing lyrical album. The songs all had a lot of backstory to them. :) Old Shinedown and New shinedown are both amazing
