Chuck eye used to be cheap, sadly not for several years now. The 'secret' is out, and it's not running about $9-10/lb at my local grocery. There's no way I'm buying a whole primal just to get a little bit of cheap(ish) chuck eye, either. lol
I'll never set foot in a Sam's club or Walmart. I buy my meat at Costco, Harris Teeter (the weekly "on sale specials" only), and Restaurant Depot. Last week I got some incredible Rib Eye for 9.99/lb. @@tiffany8946
um... were you planning on tossing the rest or something? In the roll are denver steaks, chuck roasts, cubed meats and ground STEAK. it's fantastic. did the math, for the price i paid and what i got, i saved over 50% in cost
