The Swindon Oasis was awarded grade II listed status in Dec 2021 by Historic England. Not only the iconic dome is listed, but also the unique wave pool and features. Now, Swindon Borough Council are trying to override the experts decision and get the building de-listed and demolished. Why should we lose such an iconic building? The problem is some people really think Seven Capital will give them a shiny new leisure centre, they didn't even deliver the snow dome. Their main focus is HOUSING. Swindon Borough Council are also very arrogant to think they can rewrite history and try to "de-list" a grade II listed building!
