Preventing teeth loss and root canals are some of the most important objectives to have optimal oral health and quality of life. Traditional dental restorations and procedures do not adequately restore the strength and structural integrity of natural teeth. Traditional dentistry is focused on quick fixes that patch the problem, but they are not really curing the situation or preventing future problems. Naturally, this approach leads to a series of failures and complications, requiring further treatment, additional failures, root canals, and ultimately loss of teeth. This process is known as the “Tooth Cycle of Death”.
Not only is this entire process frustrating, but it ends up costing patients a lot of money. Repeatedly treating teeth with short-term solutions will have the highest expected cost. Minimizing failures and complications by providing high-quality biomimetic restorations will cost more initially, but the lifetime savings can be very significant. Additionally, the oral health implications of having healthy teeth, preventing teeth loss, and root canals are priceless. Biomimetic Dentistry fully RESTORES teeth and thereby prevents these complications from occurring routinely. The earlier you intervene, the better the chance of preventing these problems and saving teeth for life.

This may have just saved me. Literally. I have been praying for an alternative to the work I was told I needed. But it will cost $20k and I can't justify that. This may be exactly what I need. Thank you!!

Yeap I got metal fillings lead to crown then the. Town cracked my teeth and now it’s requiring root canals. Wished I’d known this when I was young. Might’ve been able to save some teeth.

I wish I could find a dentist like you Sir. I know I'm not alone in feeling like I've been extorted with aggressive and unnecessary dental work. Where are you located?

Thank you. I know what you mean. It’s unfortunate. I have always felt its better to charge a fee that you are happy with for any procedure rather than try to do extra unnecessary work. Its more rewarding and honest to value your work and your integrity. Im in Beverly Hills/West Hollywood CA

I am advised by dentists who specialist in root canal that I have an infection and recommend it be pulled . I’m wondering what type of materials is good for a crown for the implant ? Do u advise Ceramic ?

If it's just inflammation/not infected and I make it not painful any more why would I still need a root canal/replaced?
@BiomimeticDentistry
@BiomimeticDentistry 10 месяцев назад
What scenario are you referring to. In a tooth, inflammation alone can lead to necrosis of the pulp. Absence of pain temporarily is like being in the eye of the storm. At some point the necrotic pulp will become painful from the pressure build up and chronic infection. So in this way inflammation can lead to infection. Other times, huge cavities can lead to direct bacterial exposure and infection as well.

I have deep decay on #4 & #29, however the pulp and roots are not infected. My options are a root canal or extraction. What're my options with biomimetic dentistry?
@BiomimeticDentistry
@BiomimeticDentistry Год назад
Well, if the pulp is vital and not infected like you say, then your option is to restore the tooth WITHOUT a root canal with either a filling, inlay, onlay, or possibly crown depending on how badly damaged the tooth is from the cavity. Usually a crown is avoidable, and a root canal is very avoidable if the pulp is not infected. Best- MN

I recently visited dentist who graduated from USC. Unfortunately my silver fillings were cracked therefore he swiftly urged me the importance of using different filling like ceramic. This preserves more tooth and it's extremely durable.

What are your thoughts on new teeth growth through stem cells?
@BiomimeticDentistry
@BiomimeticDentistry Год назад
Cool concept but far from reality for now. The time when a tooth develops normally is a time of development, with a series of events that can not be replicated later in life. It will take a lot of genetic engineering to ensure the correct tooth will grow, in the right position, and in the right direction. Imagine having a tooth grown but its sideways and needs 2-years of orthodontics or worse. Lots of details that have not been worked out so nothing that will be relevant for the next decade for sure.

Sir i am 17 years old and i have a cavity in my first molar. I want to do biomimetic filling. Can it last a lifetime? And what is cost for one restoration 😍
@BiomimeticDentistry
@BiomimeticDentistry 2 года назад
It can last a long time depending on the patient, consistent with your other permanent teeth. Even natural teeth need treatment or maintenance throughout life. I would say if its well done, 20-30 years is expected.
@yonchrr
@yonchrr Год назад
How can you predict 20 to 30 years when the results from studies aren't even that long. Literally fanciful and wishful thinking without the proper data to support it. Biomemetic doesn't mean as much as you think it does.

So what about composite veneers ? Are they damaging the tooth on long term? Because I had one dentist who massacred my teeth by shaving them because there wasn’t enough space for them even after finishing my orthodontics when I was a child and today I finally got my composite veneers done because my teeth were getting way to sensitive but now I am afraid that I mad it worse 😢 they used a composite resin please tell me did I make it worse ?

Theres really no way to know from your description. It could be fine or not but if you are getting regular dental cleanings and x-rays, you can have this evaluated and it shouldn't be a surprise if things are failing.

Very instructive for the patient (me) and equally sad that it’s nearly literally too late to save most of a 1/2 century plus of damage 😞
@BiomimeticDentistry
@BiomimeticDentistry 2 года назад
Thank you! It’s not too late unless the teeth are actually lost. The sooner the better but its not too late to save them if they are still there!

Me too!!! I'm so sick about it. I'm 40 and was just told I need 12 crowns with root canals. I have minimal plaque and tartar, I eat healthy, brush, floss, mouthwash, etc. I have a beautiful smile. I'm shocked and angry.
