Krista has embraced woodburning as a creative outlet. Using digital tools and unique techniques, Krista creates intricate woodburning art that inspires and educates.
Beyond her art, Krista is a proud mom, a loving wife, and an advocate for the blind and deaf community. Her family, including her husband and two boys, are her everything.
Krista’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was born deaf and started wearing hearing aids at age two. Diagnosed with Usher syndrome at 19, she gradually lost her vision. But, she found empowerment through her white cane and creativity in woodburning.
Krista’s passion for wood burning ignited in 2019. Her art is a therapeutic process, allowing her to slow down and find solace.
Through Instagram, Krista has built a supportive community, connecting with others globally and sharing her journey.
Krista uses her platform to dispel misconceptions about blindness and educate others about the spectrum of vision loss.
