You should definitely be charging! Not only are you dedicating a whole video for the product, you also give us a discount code if we decide to purchase!! You're also using products YOU purchased alongside their product. Getting a full set similar to the ones you make cost around $70-$150 at the nail salon. Let that be your base rate and put yourself on a hourly salary type of mindset. If you charge $25 per hour -- it takes 4 hours to record, 1 hour to take pictures, 2 hours to edit pictures, 5 hours to edit the video, 2 hours for the video to process & for you to come up with a description, 1 hour to record the voice over, and maybe 1 hour for anything I forgot. THAT'S 16 HOURS, TOTALING $400 FOR A VIDEO😱 and your channel is growing sooo fast. By the time you reach 100K GURLLLL I am so happy for you. Believe in yourself because you are talented! I'm a little older than you (in my 40's LOL!!) and I've been watching your videos for a while because you are dedicated to polygel and truly very good at it. I'm not a nail tech, but I've been doing my own gel nails for a few years, and then started using polygel as well. I've watched your channel grow and wondered how you would keep this up once school resumed because you crank these videos out! I definitely believe school comes first.....gotta think about your future.....whatever that means you want to do. So if you have to reduce the amount of videos you put out each week, so be it. Honestly you have more videos than some other channels that have been doing this longer. Your viewers love you and will be thrilled with any amount of videos. You NEED TO BE GETTING PAID FOR YOUR ENDORSEMENTS OF THESE PRODUCTS. I watch you have 1000 views in a few hours. I see at least 15-20 viewers per video say they just ordered a kit or product BECAUSE OF YOU within the top few comments I scroll thru, and I'm sure there are many more than that. Your videos have no commercials....are you not being monetized from You Tube? I think you have plenty of subscribers to qualify for that as well. You have built a platform that allows these companies to reach a demographic they never could before.....the at home nail DIY'ers and younger generation. Established nail techs are not the ones using polygel. There are some that do, mainly if a client asks for it, but they are primarily using acrylic and gel. If it weren't for influencers like you, polygel would not be the craze it is now. You need to be paid for that. These are YOUR VIEWERS buying products on your recommendation and supplied links to the company's website. I've worked in sales and marketing for years. It costs these companies a few dollars to send you a $40 nail kit (it may cost them $10 per kit, if that). You in turn make them thousands of dollars and provide free marketing, free sales, and free tutorials. I definitely recommend reaching out to some of your fellow You Tube influencers.....Femi, Long Hair Pretty Nails.....there are so many who I think would be happy to talk to you about this. Since you're dealing with school and You Tube, which has basically become a full time job, you may consider cutting the length of your videos a bit. You put out amazing content and much longer videos than a lot of others. Maybe cutting them back some would be helpful? Do one hand only. Or do one nail in real time and fast forward the rest. Cut out things you can to save time. We love watching you apply polygel and chatting, which is why we're here. But it also has to work for YOU! Ok, didn't mean to write a novel but thought I'd offer you another perspective and reason why you should be getting paid from someone a bit older. Sorry about your computer problems, let me just say as someone who's been using computers since the early 1980s, nothing is ever truly gone on any hard drive. Save the hard drive from your old computer, call around to some stores that fix computes in your area and find one that specializes in hard drive recovery. It may cost a bit, but if you really want that stuff back, save up and get it recovered. If I worked with Apples, I'd do it for you but Personally, I've never liked that brand.
