I love how over time the quality has visually improved and how in-depth you go into tearing these older gd chassis cars,i love it considering i have a gd so its nice to learn about these more and more now

The next time you flock anything, try spraying the adhesive. You can thin the flocking adhesive with mineral spirits, 1 tbsp per pint, and load it into one of the $15 harbor freight hvlp guns. It works great and is so much quicker than trying to brush and roll it. Just make sure you have your floor and your skin covered.

Valve grind compound works similarly to EZ Grip Friction Drops used in aircraft maintenance to stop people from stripping out screws/bolts

fifth gear popping out could be a worn fifth gear hub where the shift collar meets and locks to the gear it has a slight taper that holds it in. That usually will cause it to pop out under acceleration but sometimes under deceleration. The detents could be worn, basically there's usually a rod or multiple rods with notches and sprung ball bearings that create that satisfying click in and out of gear. If the detents are worn you won't feel that satisfying click as pronounced and the weight of the shift knob can sometimes be enough to drop you out of gear randomly like if you hit a bump or something. the other thing I've seen is if there's too much end clearance the helical cut of the gears can cause enough side load on the shift collar to pop it out, basically the main shaft and secondary shaft will side in different directions one towards the front of the car and the other towards the rear but the shift collar is limited by how far the fork can travel so when the gear shafts move too far it can cause gears to pop out. a good trans guy can sort that out, just might mean more parts.

I have used STP oil addative to pack the pumps on air cooled vw in the past with great succcess. It acts like a suction so I would imagion it would work in a subie as well..

Hell yeah man it was good to see blue . This sucks it seems like customer service has gone down hill with alot of companies. I know it takes time to update customers but atleast try a little harder to atleast send some kind of positive vibe .it seem like alot of companies once they have your money or something started they just sit back and take their time. Anywho just venting. Keep up the good work. Maybe you should just make your on kit for blue since you are getting better at it and make it how you want it.

Chrysler has discontinued many of the sensors for my Jeep 4.7 SOHC v8 and it only runs on mopar sensors throw in a Oriellys cheap crank sensor and it won't run. I actually had to go and buy every single sensor to have in my stock for later dates. My son just bought a Jeep WJ like mine only the L6 engine. I had to inform him to purchase the sensors now b4 they're unobtaianian

Tanner the wife’s 2021 STI with 7k miles with the CEL, went to the dealership today and it was a bad gas cap. No matter how much you tighten it, it leaked…. They didn’t have one in parts but they took one off of another car.

What's that tool you're using to lock the cams in place when pulling the allen bolts on the cams? Don't think i've seen that before. I always just wrap an old timing belt around it and hold it in place with the crank, but that tool looks much better.

How difficult is it to remove the dash on the gd chassis. Would love to flock my Hawkeye dash but not sure how big of a job it is. Keep up the great content mate 👍

So I just did my 2003 bugeye ej257 engine and after fully reassembling the Engin fully torqued, and double-checked. And now there's a super loud lifter (solid lifters) sound like, noise. Have any advise what it could be??

Hey I always miss your livestreams so I figured I’d ask here. Do you know of an STI clutch that feels lighter than stock? Only needs to handle 360hp/ft-lbs. I seriously injured my left knee playing soccer and it’s going to take a year to heal. I’d rather replace my clutch than sell my beloved STI. It’s a 2017 if that matters. Appreciate it!
