You do realise that Aussie yabbys can survive through droughts in dried up creeks and dams, they burrow deep into the ground before it completely drys up (even if it's bone dry) they will be down deep enough in moisture and they can sit dormant until water comes back for how ever long it takes. You don't need to go into rescue mode lol. Some will die but not many. Rest will survive in the ground then reappear when there's water again
