Congratulations. It was great working with you on this project. Buckeye Power Sales is excited to see what projects you will use this Yanmar excavator for next.
@@nohomenomad1427 I believe you can get a thumb for just about anything. Depending on the machine it might not be able to be hydraulic thumb but rather a "fixed" thumb.
Congrats on your new toy. You will need a thumb for the excavator. Build a large fully closed shelter to preserve the value of the machine. You may need a trailer to move it around as it can pay itself off with some odd jobs. 100 Dollars here and there will get it paid of fast. Watch Andrew Camaratas videos. Oh and keep it clean. Rust loves dirt. Enjoy your tracking journey.
Aston Martin, I second this comment. Build some form of shelter to keep the machine out of the elements. Also, keep in mind side job excavating work. My uncle grosses between $500-1000 per day with his business. He has two mini excavators and also has a full size cat. Think about installing a hydraulic thumb as opposed to a fixed one. Take my word, it makes the machine much more productive
Rick is my dad. He was so excited to tell me that he was in your video. Love what your channel is about, and I appreciate your kind words about my father!
BEST VIDEO YET! Everyone loved seeing how gleefully happy you were! Andrew Camarata would be so proud! Remember, if it ever loses its track to watch his video's on how to get it back on! You've stated before how much renting one meant to you and what you could get done. You parked it behind the cabin. Now you can push those tree's over behind the cabin and get rid of them. I am so happy for you. It's almost 2pm in Ohio. I'm working on a rental house to sell. It's good to see things getting accomplished and you feel pride in doing it. Now we need to get you a "thumb" for above that bucket. That way when you go to knock down tree's or just want to pick up good dead wood you can bring them to the cabin and saw them up for firewood. Look into how much that will cost for that model Yanmar.
I LOVE THIS !! To see a grown man be so happy with something he really wants (and needs), thats priceless!! CONGRATS! I can see you will be spending lots ot time at the cabin-which is good for us.....
Love to watch this guy. Such a craftsman and very entertaining. Good diction too. That's important to a half-deaf 90 yr old. All the best and stay hunkered!
Love the channel name change Mike! Congratulations, it's awesome and much needed up there. Endless possibilities now, look out. Was fun watching you play, you'll be a pro in no time. Thanks for helping Sarah!
Dude, freakin love your channel. You're like a 8 year old at Christmas! Good stuff brother, keep up the great work. Said it many times, one of my top 3 or 4 channels. You're your own Shawn James!
Bank of Sarah, that was funny. I'm really happy for you. Of all the equipement you could have purchased, I definitely think that mini is the most versatile thing. It really has the best of everything. Congratulations!!
Haha I stumbled across this video, watched a few minutes and subscribed! I’m 69 yrs old and enjoy seeing this type of equipment operation. A buddy of mine was doing work at my house a while back and let me dig out a dogwood bush with his mini excavator, pretty tricky but I had a great time. Your enthusiasm is infectious and I look forward at the opportunity to watch you become an equipment operator! Thanks for sharing!
Great Mike. I've been following you as a subscriber for a while. you do the things I always wanted. I am now 70 years old and it will never happen again. amazing how free you Americans are in the things you want to do. Here in the Netherlands, literally everything is regulated. Apply for permits for everything or it is prohibited. when I was younger I also went to the US. Cherish your freedom, in the rest of the world it has disappeared or people are being ruled by terrorists. Good luck with all your plans. I love the Americans. Great country with a few reservations about it, but who cares. The best country in the world. God bless you all even though I am not religious. keep it up. Louis Kraaij from the Netherlands
Hello @Louk Kraaij I'm glad that you can live vicariously through my channel. Thank you for watching and I am very glad you enjoy it. I certainly appreciate these freedoms and I can not imagine living any other way.
Louak Kraaij its fun living in America but as you grow older you learn about government and spending of money. As you know the world is changing and going through a process called pandemic from a virus that was diagnosed over in China but it wasn't brought to our attention until around February or March and it was definitely decided to shutdown all people coming in to the USA and going out of the USA to slow down this virus. Basically the USA was shutdown except for health care workers and gas stations and grocery stores and most of them reduced hours and would let the elderly have a 2 hours advantage but to put things in perspective the virus was much more spread and difficult to get ahold of medical supplies because noone was working across the world basically. And I believe China knew well before they told the world that there was a virus and in fact the virus deal was well on its way of being spread all around the world and needed a big prayer to slow it down or find a cure for it such as a antibiotic of some sort. And it didn't help for China to hack numerous companies that were trying to curtail the pandemic and now the FBI is involved I guess. If you go back to when they made you go to a location back in the 60's to get vaccinated and I remember lining up at a school with your parents and brothers and sisters and you would walk by a nurse and she would shoot you in the arm with a vaccine and I still have the mark from when they did it. I believe they did the same thing for poliovirus.
Awesome. You’ll love it. Might want to look into getting a thumb for it. That way you can move some trees and help getting those rocks a little easier. I rented one for a week to do my access road to my cabin. Best money I ever spent. I’m excited for you. And for the videos coming with you moving dirt! Congratulations!
@@50Acres I was going to say watch Andrew C to see a bucket home build but I do not know if you have a friend with a welder, BillTmax also used to have vids of home built buckets how too's . He made a ripper for hard ground and rocky soil.
@@johnmccallum9542 & Andrew found some new attachments that are useful. He runs off his skid steer not sure a concrete mixer would roll. The log splitter maybe doable. Letsdig18 cool Xcavator channel. Time for a rental deal for featuring the new tools. Secure her well, equipment is very desirable by nefarious ilk. bol
Congrats brother ! seeing you smiling like a lil kid playin with his first tonka truck! may it serve you well, bring you joy and help you on your property for many years .
When you are not using it for some time, store it stretched out with the rams closed to protect the chrome. Nicks and pits in the chrome will cut out your ram seals, this will cost quite a lot to fix.
My dad left his equipment out in the rain every winter for 40 years and that was several different tractors in succession but he never had a single problem with any of the cylinders leaking during that time except for one on the steering control valve. It was a Massey Ferguson with hydrostatic steering with a defective control valve.
FNB OF SARAH is a predatory lender...full stop! I barely kept my coffee down! Love that you have what you wanted! Love that you shared the value of saving. Have fun and be safe!
Congrats on your purchase. I finally have the money saved for a bucket tractor, shopping around now. I'll have to catch up on your videos when we have some bad weather. Lots to do here at our cabin before winter, busy busy busy.
you will want the thumb - makes it so much more efficient - looks like a mint little machine that will run hours and hours - you can do a ton of work even with a smaller machine like that - the blade is great
You’ll find that you use it for everything especially since you frequently work alone like I do. It becomes an extra set of hands. Hold up logs to cut for firewood and never jam the blade or run it in the dirt.
@@randywendel that machine is probably plumbed already for the hydraulics of the hydraulic thumb. He just needs to get the arm and the hydraulic cylinder mounted. Just be careful using a hydraulic thumb with the bucket. It's easy to force the thumb back by curling the bucket and that can damage the cylinder seals in a short time.
AWESOME MIKE!!! You are going to have some awesome new content with this thing! I know you'll get a thumb at some point, but man, the first thing I would do is get rid of the alarm. All that beeping will make you insane. Should be two wires. Also, keep an eye on the finals. Make sure you change the oil in them every 50 hours. It might seem like a short amount of time, but it's easy to do. Minis are SUPER hard on finals. Also, get a GOOD grease gun. You have DeWalt tools, I'm pretty sure they make one, get that soon and make sure to keep it greased well! Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance and it'll live a nice long life! Can't wait to check it out in person!
It's even more insane to remove safety beepers. I'm an old construction bloke over many years and I can tell you beepers have saved a LOT pain and deaths. You won't always be alone and always alert.
shaenj I’d guess he’ll be working alone 95% of the time. Doesn’t matter; be aware of your surroundings when operating heavy machinery. I’d definitely disengage that alarm before I used it again.
Had I known you save evert cent from your social media income for a backhoe and not blow it on fancy beach vacations, I would have doubled my patreon contribution. But seriously, change lenders unless they have a great rewards program ;) Those big machines are scary but that new found independence will be worth it. Just remember to do all that pesky maintenance
When I saw you looking at Cat I remembered that my uncle at one time worked for Caterpillar on Euclid Ave. in Cleveland. Now you have the equipment to unscrew the inscrutable. Thanks!
Gosh that’s a good video to wake up to 🚜🚜. You know we don’t want to see you excavating, we wanted to see your predatory loan officer Sarah excavating 😂😂. Thanks again for taking the time to share your journey.
I am fairly sure I messaged you a few years ago when you hired a mini ex to do your road. I am currently organizing the purchase of my own. I can understand your excitement, well done!
Awesome. it's like you Ave a 50 acre sandbox and life sized toys. Good on you for saving but watch out for the predatory lenders : ) Looking forward to what you get up to with it.
Love to watch this guy. Such a craftsman and very entertaining. Good diction too. That's important for a half-deaf 90 yr old. Pats for the doggie and stay hunkered in these times.
Best of luck with that new mini!! I know the feeling well as I just picked up my first one about a month ago (bobcat E42). You will never be sorry, best purchase you could make. It will do so much for you for so many years and still be worth a good buck. Enjoy it ....
Your 'NBS lender' talks a tough game but will soften the terms based on practicality of the purchase. A great video and I'm happy that you were able to work something out with Buckeye Power. Congrats on the new to you (& Sarah) mini excavator.
Congratulations... I too have my eyes on a Yanmar backhoe. Your paint brush for the earth. Have fun I can only imagine how you feel.... Have a great day!!!
Great video! I'm happy for you and your New-to-you Yanmar. Good luck making the shed to store it in for winter. The only thing missing is a THUMB, but I think you will end up having one installed in a year or two. God bless and good luck with all your ventures!
Big Move Forward !! Yanmar is a Very Fine Machine ~ Closed shed with a solid gravel floor will add years to it's life... experience- weather is hard on them.
I am so so happy for you. It’s going to be fun to watch the projects you do with your new toy. Thank you to the Bank of Sarah for your contribution too.
Congratulations on your purchase, I think you swimmingly managed that ditch. Now you have to go out in the rains and show us how well you did. Let us see the waters flow. Lastly, after watching this video I see one of these machines in every suburban garage, I know I would like to have one. I've watched a few of your videos and I'm now subscribed, can't wait to see the landscape change.
I am so happy for you two ! I’ve already spent a small fortune on mini work! It’s my dream to own one some day but I don’t see it happening we’re they are so out of my price range so I am so excited to watch you achieve all of your dream with yours! Hand scraped bamboo or hand scraped hickory hardwood floor at Lowe’s is the most stunning floor I’ve ever saw!
@@50Acres I'm excited to see what flooring you choose! I'm always excited to see what your posting. I tried your outdoor shower build and let me say mine did not turn out well lol . Very impressed with you and sarah!
A Cabin and 50 Acres don’t know your plans. But maybe you could build a small pole barn style building? Let’s say it had just a tin roof this year. You could always tarp the sides for the winters until you finish the house. Then build your storage building the way you like. Enjoy!
Hi Mike for one of my cabin floors I ripped and sanded 1/2 plywood then stained and covered with poly. Looks like real deal and half price. Lots vids on ways to do it. Congratulations with machine
Oh yeah, Andrew Camarata....Congratulations you look so happy it’s hard not to smile with you. I was thinking to myself, you need a garage for her, and there you said it. Thanks for the episode, it was a good one!
Congratulations Bro, it was great seeing how happy you were, hell you made me smile as well .Very nice machine and we look forward to all that you will do with it. Cover it up with a good canvas tarp, keep making us proud back here in Massachusetts , our homeboy gettin it done 👍🙏😀🇺🇸🚜
Congrats Mike! I can see how happy you are with the purchase. And yes, you are going to have to erect a shelter for your new baby - even if it's a temporary pallet shelter.
When trying to pick up big rocks and carry items in your bucket, utilize the blade on the machine and use it with the boom to push the boulders in the bucket. Seat time you'll get much more fluent with it the longer you run it.
Congrats man, that has to feel amazing! I remember buying my first piece of equipment and even though it was an ancient backhoe I couldn’t stop staring at it and doing little projects with it. Once you catch the heavy equipment bug it’s hard to let go of!
I know the feeling, after retiring I looked at some diff small tractors 25hp! just stopped in at a Kioti dealer and ended up buying a 2014 with 400hrs. and just serviced, added a new backhoe! still find it hard to believe, have done so many jobs since don't know how I didn't do it sooner! When you get the hang of it there isn't much you cant do with that machine you got! Very nice, congrats! remember grease is your best friend!
Nice, I like those Kiotis! its so hard to find a nice low hour used tractor these days too! Those things are like gold, no one wants to let go of them.
Watching portable sawmills and mini excavators is dangerous to my bank account. My dad was a John Deere dealer for 30 years and my brother and I spent the summers of '76 & '78 in Central Oregon learning to operate heavy machinery before we were old enough to drive. Happy memories and it's still in my blood. Congrats on your new toy!
Mike,,, lesson four is locking fuel cap for your machine.... just like bobcat and case and all the rest of the machines one key fits all.... you want to make provisions, when you put the machine away.... To make sure all your pistons are closed in..so the chrome isn’t showing the one that’s left open grease it up so the rust doesn’t accumulate on the chrome or the wreck to seal..... then you got a leak then you get an expense... Cut down a tree anywhere from 18’’ to 2 feet circumference long enough to go across the driveway... now getting some security you can place the log with your machine....so nobody can get in less they cut the tree up..... What a lock for the driveway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!that was the barnstorm!!!!!!!! That came to me!!!!!!!!!I forgot to tell you like I said locking gas cap I wouldn’t go as far as the battery disconnect switch but machine bounces around too much..... You don’t want that,,,,,, good luck with it..... stay happy have EAR plugs when you’re on the machine!!!!!!!!! when you’re my age!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your wife will have to hit you with something to get your attention!!!!!!!! OR the dog with have to come over and bite you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! take care Samuel junkmando
Looks great! You now need a truckbed transfer tank w/pump to haul fuel, much easier than toting 5gal at a time. Also look into a thumb for the bucket, essential for pulling stumps, picking up logs & big rocks
Congrats Mike looks nice . You might want to look in to getting a Thumb attachment for your new toy It makes it so much easier to stack rocks and move logs . Keep up the good work man .
Using an excavator depends on training. You have done a good job for a beginner improving that ditch. I am sure you will become an expert over the time. Have a nice weekend
SO heartwarming to see such genuine joy in a video at this time. I was just giggling and cheering you on all through it. Thanks for sharing this fun day with us. Will you be naming the excavator or does the bank get to name it?
SO HAPPY FOR YOU BROTHER!! One thing you will get a lot out of over time is a thumb attachment. They let you pick things up. Hope all is well brother. God Bless..
How about a thumb for that bucket ?Love your thoughts on saving ,and sticking to the plan.Good luck my friend with your amazing purchase. Hello to your family hope everyone's doing well.🙏👍
My property in southern Missouri is very similar to what you have going on there. I can see the potential in having something like that. Was thinking skid steer, but now, like what you have. Appreciate the chance to see what you are doing. Work hard and play hard sir.... .....
Congratulations, nice unit looks like you can put a grappler attachment on the bucket and use other attachments on it too. I dont know about that particular one but pay attention to the track tension. Its in the owners manual. Yes read the manual it has lots of good information in it. Lastly the overload alarm was going off when you moved the rock be careful.
Greetings from UK. I am looking for a mini excavator and stumbled on your channel. Excellent work, so subbed. Loved the joy at getting the machine you had worked hard to earn, that makes great uplifting content. And hats off to the dealer and Yanmar. Hopefully both see your content and you get some attachment freebies to experiment with and people like me get to see them in real world action with someone like you. Would love to get a Yanmar but out of my price range i suspect for my fledgling landscaping business so probably take a punt on one of those cheap Chinese jobs but look for a Yanmar engine etc.
Congratulations Mike on your purchase. Nice machine. We have a cat almost same size. You will find it very useful. Can't wait to see it in more of your Videos. Bank of Sarah is awesome. Way to go. 👍😀
