Wes, I wonder if part of your slope in the floor was poured that way on purpose to facilitate your floor drain system? However, it would appear - at least around the perimeter- that slab was poured directly on the topsoil with no perimeter beam work. Hence, these subsidence of the concrete due to soil compaction. Most likely? I think you did the best you could with limited investment.

As a viewer and subscriber to a lot of similar channels I recognise a "trend". When channels grow some of them tend to buy better and more expensive gear, putting a lot more time into editing and trying to be more "professional" and almost always it just makes the channel worse, not better, and what attracted viewers from the start gets lost in that process. It's youtube. It's ok to just slap it together. It's the content and personalities that makes it great, not the production value. When people are saying they want more, longer and better I think "better" doesn't mean production quality and time consuming editing. Don't feel the pressure to be something you aren't and become a youtube "product". Just be yourself and once in a while film it to let people watch Wes work :)

Wes, I've been watching your channel now for quite some time and I've learned a lot from you. I don't have a shop, I don't have a house, I just have an RV and a 1999 F-250 that has never failed me in 263,000. For reasons I can't understand, watching you repair things is calming and therapeutic to me, which probably has you rolling your eyes because of all the colorful language you likely have to edit out, but it's true. If I had a couple quarters to rub together I'd join up on your Patreon, but I'm sure that of your 231,000 subscribers, several of them have Franklins burning a hole in their wallet and can send them out your way. I hope the increased revenue will allow you to find an editor who you can just hand all your footage to and say "Good Luck. You'll need it!" There are a lot of those sorts of people out there if you look around. Getting one you can trust, well, that's likely another matter. Regardless, keep up the great work and I'm happy to see the shop getting some much needed TLC. Take care, and know that you're appreciated.

Wes, my uncle told me that the mimosa tree in front of their house needed trimmed. His wife, my aunt, went to work, and my uncle went to work. When she came home, the tree was gone. She asked him, " I thought you were just going to trim it". He said he trimmed it at the ground. The reason for the " trim" was that he got tired of cleaning out the gutters, and getting rid of all the new trees.

Wes I believe I happened upon your channel some 5 or 6 years ago now (while still at college). I have to say that not only have I learned a lot from you, but I have also gained an appreciation for tractors and other heavy equipment i never had before watching yout channel. Not to mention you put me on to another favorite of mine in Diesel Creek, as well as that leading into Hamiltonville farms. Also in the daily mess that is life. Your videos have always provided a bit of an escape into something familar. Like hanging out with an old buddy. Please dont feel you have to push yourself beyond your means just for the sake of content. I for one prefer quality over quanity. If you need to have a set schedule and dial it way back on the videos then i for one say do it. But just know that whenever things seem futile. Or think youre not doing good enough. Just know that you've made such a postive impact on not only myself but tons of others through this channel. Take care of yourself, and keep on keeping on 👌

Though I wish you could put more out, I understand why you can't. You are one of the few bigger channel operators in this genre that still work a normal job. The weird stuff you get in your shop is what makes your channel different from the others. I hope you are making some decent money on this at this point, and you are at the point where you could do this full time if you devoted all your energy to it and engage all the different revenue streams. I just don't know if that is the best thing for your particular channel, since your shop is so integral to the channel. You could really get into doing troubleshooting videos. Your overall knowledge is nearly unmatched when it comes to troubleshooting. You could do videos teaching people how to troubleshoot different issues, or something like that, and maybe limit your 9 to 5 to stuff that will make good videos. I don't know. Your situation is different from a lot of the others, but you might benefit from being able to plan your videos, rather than waiting on something to come in. There are a lot of machines out there with unusual issues that need some love.
