Wes, With the KV involved. Loose plug , The Plug was simply using the cylinder head as a Ground. Two turns up into the Head would accomplish that. Good Fix! I would of gone there first. I'm from Iowa. Not the Peoples Republic of Illinois. lol.
your wire feed problem maybe you need a new liner for you gun. My opinion get a Radnor gun, its better than the miller (and lincoln) consumables are less expensive than the miller and lincoln brands. <I guess I should watch the whole video before I make my comment. It looked awesome.>
My buddy has a 2001 that just got injectors. He asked me if I wanted to do that job and I declined. We know a guy like Wes that is an excellent mechanic that has worked on plenty of these trucks. The Duramax is a great motor, but they definitely shoehorned this motor in there. I'm no professional mechanic and some jobs are just better left to the pros with better equipped shops and more knowledge. Another great video though Wes. I appreciate you taking the time to film this stuff, as the info is valuable.
Locktite on a seal? Really? Feel sorry for the next person that needs to remove it. Anyways I have been using my Cub Cadet since 2006and now its 2024. I do not see it as junk like you kept complaining about. I replaced the started is all. Still using the same belt although it came loose 2 times in all those years was all. I did replace the battery also. One time for sure but maybe 2 times. Will be due again soon. You were still complaining even doing the carburetor so had to leave.
I watched Hanks video, now I'm here... great build from both directions, i really enjoyed bot approachesx to the end result! so how do you feel about vanguard V-Twins?
Just found this episode (May 2024) and have been subscribed for 8 months but VERY glad to learn more about your background. You are a marvelous problem solver and explain your work very clearly. Continued success. Thanks!
I’m told the plastic section on the slide pin is to prevent the calliper locking up when very hot, it allows the bracket to expand enough to stay free. There is only one, because that is all you need to allow for expansion, two would increase the slop in the assembly and lead to squeal or soft pedal.
I know eyeballs are important and all but one other expensive thing you might want to be careful of when welding is the camera. Welding can damage camera sensors like eyeballs.
Well we know where your true passion lies and it's creating and building things. Beautiful work Wes!!! Time for you to switch to flux core wire when you weld !! Looking forward to the next project.
That’s a valuable lesson for everyone trying to fix an automatic. Still don’t understand why it took off park means neutral? Nearly all ours are manual.
wes you are the best! now i do understand why, you are not wasting you time fixing GMs junky cars. keep teaching us, we do love your work but we love as well everything we learn from you!
