Saving Place Saving Grace 

Was there with my brother for father Joe paschal 50th. He was my papas brother and we were blessed enough to have him home when grandma Balkan was in the nursing home. He said the funeral mass for both my parents. Have a few photos of him but it’s nice to find this video including him. Us kids adored him. He had a wonderful sense of humor but could be very acerbic! When my sister bev got married he warned everyone that they had better not come up for communion if they weren’t in a state of grace. I really miss him. Many wonderful memories!

I miss this place so much. The monks were our neighbors when I was growing up. We went to mass there, they provided us with fresh bread twice a month, fruitcake at Christmas; we shared much of our lives with the monks at Holy Cross. I have such beautiful memories of this beautiful place.

I came across this video via the utube channel of six blind kids. Parents and their children visited the monastery and bought some yummy goodies from the shop. They had a home tasting session which was great fun to watch. May God continue to bless all your endeavours of sustainability.
