Raise exhaust port, widen. Lower intake, widen. You can also check tdc and see if any of the piston skirt is blocking intake, if so just file out a small bit so it's completely unobstructed at tdc. Intake and transfers should be left fairly rough, only the exhaust should be polished. Only surfaces that are exposed to combusted mixture should be polished to reduce residue buildup- the intake is best rough so it helps with fuel/air atomization. Not rough with burrs mind you, just textured and clean.

Well, nice to see someone actually thinking on not using the yd100, for it's made for with a jug, which is good and terrible for us bike guys. I bought my zeda 80 40³ in December and slowly put my bike together (Schwinn occ stingray) but recently found my stock exhaust pipe cracked, so decided to use the flex pipe till I decided what pipe I need. 36 tooth sprocket is recommended for both engines but if you want to pull more speeds, get an HP carb and put a mid 60 jet. As for plugs, get the br6hs or 7, for 2 strokes need colder plugs. The case matching is the first type of port you want to do actually (and I'm probably going to do soon) before learning advanced stuff. Also get a balanced crank, it removes vibration and problems.
Well im not surprised about the yd 100 having design flaws im sure it will be revised Maybe in a couple of years it will be better Got busy working on my shotgun restoration video so havent had time to mess with the tanaka outboard yet Hover i hope you check the videos out there on my channel
the flex pipe added more torque but slowed my bike down .. normally run it with stock exhaust with baffle removed and i hit 43 with the flex exhaust i only hit 34

Wow.... Smh.. my Yd100 is doing the exact same thing. Im about to put it on the back burner ! I just ordered a New Motor from CMB.( a zeda w/ window piston & reed.. CNC head..I cant wait to see what the problem is & How you fixed it.. Thx for sharing.. always informative.
In the beginning it was the rusted bearing, but at the end of the video I thought it was the cable slipping but it's something else. I'll post a video today or tomorrow when I fix it.
can instantly tell this things powerband is way wider when ported and plished, cant wait to do this with a new 49mm g4 cylinder, i also run a mz65 copy on stock g4 47mm no port and polish no nothing gets 30mph STOCK on stock nt carb
I only get 28 mph with my yd100 with the stock pipe and about 34 with a mz pipe... I want to do port work... do you have any videos getting indepth on it?
My ydv100 is on its 4 tank of gas "it's new" it's starting to make noise like the piston Rings are trashed but idk where it's coming from.. please help,new to the gas bike life

Hey i bought an eBay motor kit and a bike cause you gave me the great idea to do this but i didn't make the smart decision. ill get to my question, the chain that came with my kit is the wrong one and in bent a bit so it wont stay on, it also doesn't bend properly around the front sprocket. do you have a chain recommendation?

@@sumodeligiannis4073 well safe is hard term to use kinda depends what you mean. as far as motor exploding or some major issue it's slim. as for something going wrong on the bike it depends if you buy a cheap bike it's not gonna hold up to the torque or the vibration of the engine over time. that is why i got a mongoose mack it's a heavy duty mountain bike with front and rear disk brakes and has mag wheels so no bent spokes or out of place sprocket. so far my bike has held up for 4 years and that's not with me taking the best care of it. as for riding in traffic i don't ever ride in traffic i always ride in the bike lane.. ill have a video uploaded today or tomorrow
Is yanking ok the throttle like that ok for the bike? Seems like you could build up a lot of pressure that could bend some valves. Same thing happened to my brothers 4 stroke bike.
Yd100 is got a hole lot of power it will out run the zeda 80 any day of the week well I mint 66cc zeda it. Is what u do to the motor u put money in anything u can make any motor run the most videos i watch they speed run but they don't realize they are going down hill u are going to go fast but I am working on my new build I am making a franklinstain 56mm it is going to be fast that for sure but I love my yd100 good running motor mine been a good one but be careful on the rd hope u get your motor fix
