I play WRE on legendary a lot because of the challenge and I like the sort of role playing of saving the empire.

One of your best performances was the WRE campaign years ago. Glad to see the occasional Attila game despite it being a mess.

Love this series. Something about the appeal of fighting against overwhelming odds. Most people who watch(and submit to) this are probably hardcore veterans, it's pretty unlikely that anyone among us would have a real disaster. So all these scenarios are probably intentional.

Just a guess, but I assume he sent that army to Egypt to re-establish himself there when his empire started to collapse.

Considering how much I enjoy this series, I don't really care if the situation was deliberately fucked tbh.

Regarding growth, around the 46 min mark, when returning to a province you'll return with the growth you had when you held it previously. so the reason you have 6 growth in Tripolitana is that the guy had 6 growth in it when he last held it. The growth holds, even if the settlements are build up by the factions that hold the it between your exit and return. - Yes it stupid, yes they should bring population back and get rid of growth.

this unit scale is so disappointing, i know legend doesn't even play battles unless he has to, but with very small units i don't even care for seeing the fights...

Did you used to have a lisp? At about 1m 30s you said "tewwitowy" (territory). If so, you've done a fantastic job getting over it. I also had a lisp when I was younger, and it was hard to get over. I've watched several hours of your videos, and that's the first time I've noticed anything.

Legend, did you play multiplayer EU:Rome with Republic of Play? Will that be a video series?

Not as WRE, but I did my first Attila campaign on legendary too. Figured it couldn't be so much different from Rome 2 or Rome 1 which I was pretty good at. 50 turns later I had 1 more settlement than I started with, plague everywhere, making 100 gold a turn, quit out of that shit

Legend getting pissed off at his men for burning the settlement is priceless.

actually i like this kind of campaigns, is more entertaining than just having 30 arm is killing all, i prefer to have 1 army defending a small city with a good defensive position and push whenever i can

This is pretty historical accurate, because during this time the Western Roman Empire basically went in into disarray, on the other hand both Eastern and Western Roman Empire already transform it self into a society that is little different from Medieval Era or Middle Ages.

Jesus Christ bro, you really love to taking the piss. I'm currently playing the WRE (ep+FotE mods) on VH/H , and I thought that was challenging. ...compared to this though, I got it easy lol. P.S. there is no way the guy that gave you this save didn't set this up to be fucked. I would get a few peeps to vet a bunch of the saves for you, and then pick one of those to record and upload.

well I got a friend that sucks at TW and loves rome, and like a good fanboy he plays as WRE and I have to save his ass 98% the time so yeah people still go for WRE on first play
