I like those type of challenges that you don't have to fold the money best. I've been putting money into my granddaughters account direct pay since before she was born. I'm also now saving to gift her money at graduation. Between the two, she should have at least two years of college taken care of.

I'm the same way on Christmas. Kids only, adults- we spend time together, no presents exchanged. This year, my mom's sister died and I saw a beautiful figurine about holding your sister in your heart- so I did get it for her and then had to get something for my dad so he didn't feel left out. But those were the only gifts I got for my grown up friends. The kids got BANK presents wise though.

my 20 year old son got lucky he only has to pay 8,000 for his schooling because pittsburgh promise paid 25,000 of it because of his great grades in high school and he only has to go for 18 months to become a vet tech .... my oldest who is 24 didnt go because he was self tought for computers now she has companies fighting for her , my other 2 who knows how much theirs is going to be but they will also get the pittsburgh promise . i wish all states had that instead of just us.

That’s what we do, Christmas is for our kids and we open 1 small gift a day and day of is big stuff… sadly my dad and I were born on Christmas Day so everyone totally forgets about us lol

I choose to be on a savings plan where I save 100 of the ones, 100 of the fives, 100 of the tens, and so on. Right now I'm on the twenties. I have 32 twenties about to be saved because I have also a hundred dollar bill which is 5 twenties. And since it's Christmas I'm sure more is coming. My Parents are usually so generous at Christmas. But usually I end up with 500 dollars worth for saving at the end of every month, but this year during Christmas I'll be able to add more to exchange to twenties. And my birthday is January 2 which is coming soon. But I rejoice not just because of money but because of family time. Turkey, Ham, other gifts. You can't go wrong! Blessed time to be with the family.
