Yeah its super crazy that characters from the first expansion, etc are still around and super relevant. When I first started playing ff14 when shadowbringers started I figured it would be like wow story where things are kind of segmented, NOPE. Everything leads up to something.
@@Mawble I think another big factor that sells this is that we are involved with all these characters since like level 20, and even their gear/jobs change as we go, so it feels like they are growing with us. In WoW, characters like Thrall and Jaina were basically celebrities before we began the MMO, and we were unknown but occasionally helped them. That dynamic has changed a bit but it definitely changes the perspective on how the NPCs feel, I think yeah.
Damn, when you think about that. What's the name of any of the npcs giving you main story quests at the beginning of WoW? Like that one npc who gives out almost all the quests for a zone and then never shows up again? But like other people have pointed out: In WoW, everyone else is the hero, while you're just one of many "champions". In FFXIV you're the fucking hero, and the NPCs are supporting YOU and have your back for all this time.

I think the electric guitar bit while they're fighting the red demon is supposed to be a sped-up version of Titans first battle theme to represent ARR. At least that's what I hear.
The ARR part is actually "Torn from the heavens" from what I heard. I dunno if that's true or not but I know it's not the ARR theme, but it does represent ARR, yes.

It’s been used a couple times in the MSQ but we have a sort of anti-tempering bubble around us Used it against lakshmi to protect the Scions during 4.0 It’s either that or we found a way to neutralize the tower before entering
I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, but I really wish we could have gotten Emet-Selch in beautiful CG at some point since Shadowbringers.
Only two weeks for those the pre-bought it. It's gonna drop for us on a Friday. I just wanted to stress the fact it'll be on a Friday, not the next but the one after. Then there's the whole weekend, and there will be no parties but the parties in the game.
@@hellfrozenphoenix13 According to FFlogs currently, WAR is the lowest DPS. GNB is in the lead by a visible amount, and DRK and PLD are so close it looks like the scales could be tipped either way based solely on a bit of crit luck lol. However, for the majority of the expansion, it was GNB ahead, PLD just behind them, then WAR, then DRK. I'm unsure what caused the shift in scoring. That being said, at least in ShB, all of the tanks are remarkably well balanced and one being ahead of another is never so significant that it should weight too strongly on one's opinion. This is purely for Eden Savage though, not for general all-content. I think the thing to take away from this is that, something has to be at the top, and something has to be at the bottom, but they're not so far apart that it matters in a significant way. Play what you enjoy.
@@hellfrozenphoenix13 in high end teamcomps an off tank pally is 2nd to GNB because they have very consistent damage and multiple DoT. WAR and DRK have burst windows that feel great but pretty bad downtime in between. Not sure where maintank PLD sits because Spirits Within scales off your %HP.
wait wait waaaait i didnt realize that until now, BUT the main charakter deffend a garlean at 6:58 AND at the end 7:32 he stay infront of a army from garlemald like a leader. i mean the garleans had a chance to attack our charakter from the back but there didnt and at 8:49 we fight WITH the garleans hand in hand. :D so we cooperate now with garlemald in this expansion
The idea of making FFXIV movie is actually great, just recreate 1.0 story for the CG movie like Advent Children or Kingsglaive or anime series for netflix. Did anyone already ask this to Yoshi-P? I know his hand is full right now with FFXVI is on production too and endwalker is close to realase date, also the budget for making CG movie is not cheap too, but I wanna see his answer/reaction to this if he held Q&A.
They pushed the official release to the 7th of December and early access is pushed to the 3rd. Better to push it back and work out the knicks than to release it and itd be an awful release
They changed Estinien's hair due to clipping most likely lol. In his current model his hair and armor are a clipping nightmare. Pointed edges sticking through hair and hair going inside of his body lol. Also, Alphi will never grow up. Eorzea exists in a time bubble. Time does not pass unless explicitly stated it has. It will forever be 5 years since the last Umbral Calamity until otherwise noted.

Why is the free trial download process and square enix account bs so trashy. Its making me setup 2 passwords to use, asking me for a free trial code while at the same time not giving me a damn code. I then go to recover my ID name and it sends me to reset my password but not my ID. I then try to log in to the site and it asks for my email and password, i try both damn passwords and it still says theyre incorrect even tho i just reset them. This is the biggest hassle to a game ive had lmfao wtf. Not to mention the damn UI looks like its from the 90’s, they really need to overhaul this registration process. Im not even gonna download this game no more.
while you're absolutely right about the hassle, if that makes you not want to play, then that seems like loss for you rather than for the game. millions of other players have managed to download and set up a character just fine. i hope you find a different game to enjoy.
How in the world did that Dragon looked like Tiamat ? In almost every Trailer reaction... Ooooh, it's Tiamat or oooooh my Boy is riding on Tiamat... or is that Tiamat ? How can someone who is done with the Story for a few minutes not see that this Dragon is not Tiamat. Ok, I've seen the rest of the video, when someone looks into the chat that often while watching something, it's no wonder.

@@rogerstalder7184 Believe me, try to hold out until Heavensward, afterwards it's all uphill. ARR and post ARR are a gigantic prologue that serves to create the world building and narrative basis for the expansions. It's a hassle, I've been through it too, but you will be rewarded in the end if you pay attention
I have been following you Savix for years now and enjoying your vids but think it's time to stop now that you went over to this lame game and only post about that : ) It may look good ( like any other korean or japanese mmo ) but the gameplay is terrible. Nothing compared to WoW. Have fun and say hi to all the whiner babys who left with the ship.
