Those normal bozos that managed to cut Sauron's fingers off were actually a race of super-humans that are all like 9+ feet tall and mega strong, iirc. Aragorn in both the movies and the books is like 80+ years old, he's still able to keep pace with Legolas, and he's actually smaller and weaker than those guys that squared up with Sauron bagden. They're basically like the Vrykul, if the Vrykul could solo whole garrisons of Alliance and Horde forces.
They also note that in the books Sauron had just finished wiping the floor with Gil Galad and Elendil, the King of the Elves and the King of Numenor respectively. Those two were probably the greatest warriors in Middle Earth at the time (not counting any Maiar like Gandalf). So he was understandably very cocky when he was about to finish off Isildur. He had *just* murdered Elendil, one of the strongest warriors in the world and Isildur's father to boot, so he let down his guard before he could finish the job.
@@jossgoyanko7006almost. In the books the fight killed him along with Gil-Galad and Elendil, or at the very least incapacitated him, which allowed Isildur to cut the Ring from Sauron’s hand, before his spirit could take the ring with him (like he did when his body was destroyed in Numenor)
20:40 Actually, in the books its said that Sauron prefers to fight with his bare hands, and his favorite way of ending someone is to strangle them. That's why in the movies he was reaching with his hand... he is a psychopath who loves the feeling of a warm neck turning cold as the person dies. Strangulation is the most intimate way to murder someone. People usually want to use guns when killing so they can emotionally distance themselves from the killing... but Sauron likes it the other way around. This gives us the picture of who Sauron is.
Reminder that the "normal bozos" are the equivalent of superhuman Space Marines except minus the brainwash and none of the "kill xenos" Additionally, Sauron had lost his fingers in the movie to wrap up the prologue a lot faster, because otherwise there would've been an epic fight scene of Sauron 2v1'ing a pair of literal legends of elves that would've made the WH40k Eldar feel incompetent and ungraceful, and would've been considered gods by the elves of Warcraft. And said pair of elves only brought Sauron to a freaking *_draw_* and made him back off, somehow losing the ring thru some unknown method.
He can cause volcanos everywhere. That wasnt mt Doom, that was just Sauron creating an earthquake and causing inner mantel to spew out to dissipate LKs storm.
@@_so1ius To sum it up: Movie supercuts. Otherwise the prologue would've been longer or too long and Petey Jackson had to get the movie focused on the Fellowship of the Ring, not Sauron 2v1'ing a fight with a *_lot_* of possible CG movie magic. Its not "magic sword" because literally fucking everyone at that battle had magic swords. Get bozo'd by the "when everyone super, nobody super", Oyster
Savix has wow bias, or has to be trolling, or just purely not know more ab LoTR then that he watched the movies 20 years ago, because the way he talks about sauron as being "defeated by 1 dud who took his pinkie" is absolutely mind boggling
one of the biggest aspects of the lich king is how he swarms his enemies with a myriad of undead, all he did in this fight is throw ghosts and snowballs wtf
The characters with the largest fan base always win in Death Battle videos. The fate of the battles are decided based on what will bring in more views and likes. All the numbers crunching is just to make people think they "worked out the math" and did research. This being said, I liked the animations, I'll give them that.
@@eon1014 good, every single living thing that dies in the conflict will be raised as an undead and continue fighting for the lich king think before you type LOTR scum
@@smokinbonez420 So what? Sauron can also corrupt and enslave the Lich King’s minions. Sauron and Lich King can both corrupt and enslave each other’s minions, but in the end, it doesn’t matter how much they corrupt each other’s armies or send enemies after each other. Think about it: none of their minions can actually destroy either of them, because they’re both practically inexhaustible and they both have immortalities that require very specific conditions to be nullified. Sauron’s minions can’t kill the Lich King, and in turn, the Lich King’s minions can’t kill Sauron either. Only the leaders of either faction can destroy each other. And as Death Battle showed, Sauron has too many advantages over the Lich King, so Sauron wins. Plain and simple.
In the book, "Silmarillian", it explains that the Maiur and Valar (angels and lesser gods) can't really die. Their spirits are locked to Arda (Earth). The evil ones like Morgoth and Sauran either escape or become imprisoned while the good ones return to Valinor, a western continent ruled by immortal Elves who left middle Earth and their God King, Manwe. Let's not forget that they animated Sauron to a fraction of his cinematic size. In the movie, he was nearly 20 foot tall and with one swing of his mace was blowing entire battalions across the battlefield.
@@eon1014 Sauron’s power is a fraction compared to his mentor. His time was cool but definitely underwhelming if you look at his reign vs melkores. All I’m saying is lore wise I think he would be a better candidate considering lich king can have similar powers. Sauron wasn’t making dragons and creating races and we only seen that in his age when Saruman which is an entity like melkore made the hybrid orcs
@@dondada4L Sauron did actually create races, he created werewolves after all, and when Morgoth created races Sauron was his assistant who helped with the work. Sauron doesn't need to be a strong as Morgoth to beat the Lich King.
