No offense to sir AR Rahman but this song and the whole Coke studio Pakistan has much more and deeper music than any musician can give. How can it not get Oscar whilst it's just a mere recognition but this goes unnoticed because it's not commercial or it's not projected in media to get attention. Thanks to RU-vid and Pakistani artists for making such marvel. Hats off guys love from the border side.

Seriously. There are only a handful of good songs on the Indian Coke Studio. Others are just bad songs from bad artists. But its amazing how Pakistani Coke Studio holds its head high in the music department. Every song is so wonderful here. I am an Indian and my PC is laden with Pakistani music and I wish if those making hit music in India nowadays learn from these Pakistani artists that amazing songs can be made even if you stay true to your core.

This is one of the best songs ever. I'm biased towards female singers, but the execution was flawless here. The second segment has probably the best rendition of kande utthe ever.
This was amazing!!! I've been slowly making my way through all of coke studios episodes be it from Pakistan, Africa, Middle East, or India. I love Pakistan's version way better than the rest. It doesn't have the commercial grade feel to it, The music is unique and the lyrics are meaningful. Hats off to all the wonderful musicians, singers, and everyone else that comes together to make it what it is.
The bassist completely killed it. Amazing. Along with those awsome vocals by Ali azmat but real magic starts when moazam starts singing. 4 am and I feel intoxicated even though I didn't do anything.

There is something to be said about Music and seeing the whole production live with real horns and no synthesizers playing the major roles and the real bass / guitar/ drums and real strings make for the real Horns and the nerve to sound awesome. is just a thrown in. Wonderful Sound and look at the cooperation among the musicians and singers. Now talk about disciplines here is the full View of what a real studio can do. Not just someone's house.

It feels like Moazzam Sahib is more closer to NFAK style. RFAK is great at his own . .no Question, but feels like Moazzam is en route to revive NFAK in the hearts of fans. Keep it up Moazzam . .world is awaiting.

Actually Moazzam was overshadowed by RFAK's publicity(As we know, now the world is corporate, everything is about money & publicity) more than his talent, both has tremendous talent but one has got the edge of PUBLICITY. That's why the one with the publicity went far, but as we all know truth/realness etc will always reveal clearly upon its time to the whole world & that is what happened with Moazzam... Rohail THE GENIUS saw his potential & used him almost to the fullest of his talents, so YES you are right that he's more near to NFAK & also he looks more like NFAK.

Hats off to Pakistan for putting effort to preserve Punjabi folk! More steps should be taken to bring variation and variety of Punjabi language. This is something passed on to us through generations. Where are new lyrics and emotions worth listening to? One should concentrate on developing new lyricists which could present present day emotions into words otherwise Urdu would swallow Punjabi in Pakistan and Punjabi people would be treated as voice of low social status people, the fact still prevailing there.
It is very true, considered in Pakistan by the middle and upper class as a backward, "Pando" language. Mother tongue to 70% of pakistan but we are busy teaching our kids bhaiyya ass foreign language of urdu. On the other hand India is losing to English your society uses English way to much and everyone wants to be white washed. No one wear traditional clothes all pant shirt shit.
I agree with you Vikram...Indian punjabi is being eaten by Hindi and here in Pakistan punjabi is left only a spoken language of the street...I fear in fifty year you would n't find anyone in Pakistani cities who speaks punjabi.
I second Taimoor l really dint know why god damn punjabi people are so f up that we r losing our heritage by killing punjabi language in pakistan...for sake of few urdu writers ? Why we are obessed w urdu ? None of our kids can speak punjabi or write punjabi which is a shame...even bhayas dont want urdu they teach their kids english ...why punjabis want urdu...urdu should be literary language only ...

Rohail Hayat you are a genius and a pride not just for Pakistan and Coke but for the music industry in the world. You are the one making the world as one without borders. I keep saying that with all the electronic communication and media country borders are meaningless and we are to live in harmony and peace in the world with such music bringing all of us together regardless of the song languages.
