when I first read how to do that in the manual I was surprised at how simple it was. There's certain groups of people who had made it sound like a giant hassle to put it in bypass mode when, as you showed, it's very simple. I use it when I have questionable materials I'm sending through, like up-cycling old, cheap, furniture into shop cabinets or big box store construction grade wood.
Good to know, the possible future owner of the shop where I work was talking about upgrading the tablesaws to sawstop. This was a concern I had about him doing so.
Good to know - pretty easy. I am pretty regular about not leaving the saw on between each series of cuts - I'd have to write a note or something by the switch to remember to do the bypass each time if I had to do it more than once.
