Hi! Through the video on which you showed off the MXR Reverb pedal, I've recently purchased exactly that pedal. But having tried it... I'm not sure if it gets me the right reverb-y sound I hoped it'd produce. Now in this video at 3:18, you basically also produce a reverb, right? Am I wrong in saying this pedal kind of performs the job of a reverb too? Or do I just need some more time to figure out the MXR Reverb pedal? Would love to hear your stance on this!
A very extended delay can sound like a reverb effect. Reverb is more of a natural sound, while delay is an effect, so it depends on what you are going for. I would spend more time exploring the MXR Reverb, that pedal has a lot of possibilities, but if after 6 months of messing around you don't feel like its giving you what you need I would check out a delay pedal. Hope this helps
@@GetASax thanks for the reply; I definitely will try and get more used to it. I am definitely getting the feeling that now having stepped into the world of pedals, it is a slippery slope for getting more and more... :)
Hey man, super nice review. I´m doubting on buying this one or the deluxe model. Wich do you think that it will be more interesting for creating atmoshperes? Thanks a lot.
Hey my friend. I love your stuff❤ I play alto saxophone and I play classical music. I would like to add effects to my playing but I don't know if I should go for the Delay pedal or the reverb pedal ??? What is your advice on this please. I play a lot of 80s/90s love songs. I would really appreciate any help you can give me. Pat ❤
