I got it and put it up against sonnox drumgate, sonible smartgate and Wilkinson debleeder. For my ears i preferred sonnox over all but I did prefer it to smartgate and compared to debleeder its on the same level but it has the ghost notes feature which puts it at an advantage. This is also good for anyone looking to replace Debleeder due to compatibility issues with Macs
Totally agree! Sonnox is still my favorite (especially with the extra features like the leveler), but this one came very close sound-wise for me. And for the price (especially the intro price), I think it's a really great deal!
Basically! Although I hesitate to use the word "smart" now that that usually implies some kind of AI, which I don't believe this has, but it definitely is smart in the sense of having a lot of clever features hiding behind a couple simple controls!
I don't think there's any AI in this plugin. Just some fairly clever and well thought out tweaks under the hood that give you pretty solid results with minimal tweaking.
@@blacksaltaudio I hear you but surely this uses AI technology?! It is so similar to what Peter Jackson used on the Beatles' LET IT BE that it would be too unbelievable to feel that it is MERELY a sophisticated use of EQ and noise gates...SURELY?!
@@BeesWaxMinder If it was AI, it wouldn't sit at around 1.5ms latency. AI takes quite some time to process audio, depending on your hardware ofc. This plugin works by combining multiple gates and phase-cancellation for cymbals or other high-frequent instruments. I love the silencer.
