I was labeled a bad mother because I brought up my children the ways shivani has been discussing. I did not care what people said because I wanted to bring up responsible ,independent human beings. I was successful!!!

I always used to think why my mother didn't give me this thing or that thing while other parents were so benign for their children. But now, being a grown up, when I interact with those children versus me, I can clearly understand how important was that value which my mother instilled in me of hearing a NO so that I can adapt to any situation whatsover around me and still stay happy always. Thank you Mummy for making me what I am today and Thanks to you too sister for making me understand the logic behind constrained parenting versus comfort parenting.
