also thanks for coming to PA. as you can peep the background kids / ppl we’re really happy to see y’all doing your thang. More creatives like this for 2023 !
I was lucky enough to have my summer camp go four days before it closed. Super rough, but there were some good airtime moments and i’m glad i got the credit.
wild eagle in the rain with no shoes is one of the best experiences to experience. the drop was insane and the rain just cools you down and it didn’t hurt!
I want this with bright red track and a double barrel roll ending like the end of Outlaw Run but placed prominently over the entry like the wave turn on Iron Gwazi. It would be incredibly visually iconic to have a twizzlers ride where the track twists like that.
Hershey park has some amazing coasters some of the best around and in 5-10 years I could see Hershey getting a Giga and keeping everything there. Hershey has a lot more room to expand
Wild Cat starts at 4:42. Appears to be Minebuster @ Canada's Wonderland here in Canada. Hope we keep this favorite wooden coaster as long as possible. RIP Wildcat.
When it starts raining, that’s how my first time at Adventureland was but with lightning… I was so upset because I was excited to ride a lot of the fun rides
Im not going to lie it's sad to see any coaster go but this thing bounced rider's around like peas in a frying pan. Including me back in 2013. I'm not going to miss it. I'm excited for RMC wildcat
@@zanewebb2665 I was able to marathon lightning racer without getting off feeling dizzy. But after just one ride on wildcat I came off dizzy and couldn't sleep. What does that tell you
Thanks for video; I love seeing some of my favorite RU-vid coaster enthusiasts in the same place. I rode Wildcat in 2002 and while I thought (and still think) that it’s a great looking ride, I felt pretty beat up by it, and it was a mere Wild Kitten at the time. 😁
I grew up going here and the crowds were never a problem. But when I went in June we waited 2 hr 15 min for great bear, and everything else was at least an hour +. Didn't know Matt went to Europe with you, lol, and whoa haven't seen Nate yet this year in a video at all.
I was there Sunday too, and I thought it was hilarious that only three rides closed for rain but the three were the top 3 in the park lmao. I got pretty lucky as far as lines weren't too bad when I walked up to that ride. Besides an hour at the end of the visit for Great Bear, I never waited more than 40 minutes. I even got on Candy in 15 minutes right before the storm. Oh, and unpopular opinion but Wildcat was good. I'm glad this is happening for sure but I'll miss it.
The same thing that happened to you on wildcat happened to me on copperhead strike except they wouldnt send out the empty train so instead we sat for 20 mins in the pouring rain that wouldnt lighten up.
I wish they had left the rides open while it rained when I was there a few weeks ago. Instead everyone and their mother was in line for Laff Trakk since that was the only coaster that was open for the 4 hour weather delay. Also, while it was still rough, Wildcat wasn't as migraine inducing as I remember. It kind of reminded me of the jerky side-to-side shaking that I get on the second half of the mine train at Great Adventure only about 5 times more aggressive. Maybe it was just a bias because it's closing (or is closed by now) but I kind of had fun on it.
They only close em if lightning is around if it’s only rain they run every ride in the park except candy, storm runner and sky rush usually. I got multiple rain rides this year on great bear, Fahrenheit, wildcat, comet etc etc
I went there during an hour-long break in the rain toward the end of the night so I guess I just missed you guys and eltororyan lol. I got soaked later on lightning racer though
as a Hersheypark homeparker and a local…I think like none of us want Wildcat candy themed. It’s just ehh and cheesy, and every ride they added since 2017 (in the dry park) has been candy themed.🫠
Those crowds are crazy, we were there on Thursday just 3 days before you and almost everything was a 5 minute or less station wait. We even got a few walk on laps on Candymonium midday. Also Wildcat is not great, bring on RMC! Glad I got the credit though.
I once got a rain ride on sky rush and it was an incredibly painful experience. I can’t even imagine what it’d would’ve been like if it were happening to someone who minds the restraints.
This was awesome. Here's my thoughts: 1. I first rode Wildcat in the late '90s and loved it but in the years since, it's been so head banging and uncomfortable. Bring on on new RMC please! 2. The original Sidewinder (Jolly Rancher Remix) was the first of so many Vekoma Boomerangs I ever rode back in the summer of 1995 when I was 14. That backwards section blew my mind, and even though I know we all get tired of them over the years, I still have such fond memories of my first. 3. Skyrush.....meh....great first drop, I don't remember loving the rest. 4. I always compliment Sarah on these videos cuz she's so funny, but make sure Matt knows how charming he is (I am a happily married man, but he was so adorable in this video, I hope he gets whatever action he wants! 😇)
I rode Wildcat when I was at Hershey 5 years ago. Going in, I didn't think it looked that bad. Then I rode it and, yeah, it was horrendous. Possibly the worst coaster I have ever ridden along with Vortex at Carowinds. It's about time Hershey gives it a huge makeover for next year!
My son and I were there at the same time as you, I don’t know how we missed you guys! I am happy to say the rain did stop for a little while after you guys left. It started to rain again at closing, for Wildcat’s last ever ride. My son got one last Wildcat ride. I skipped because I like my brain the way it is. 😂 My son and I also got on one of the last rides of the night on Candymonium, and lemme tell you, riding that in the rain hit different! Here’s to RMC Wildcat. 🤞🏻 🥂
I know Ryan’s probably just memeing, but I really like this ride and was never bothered by the shaky/jerky nature. I rode plenty of awful wooden coasters, Mean Streak to name one, and I never once thought this ride was bad. Aw well, to each their own
fast pass is a must at hershey although its expensive on the weekends you can literally ride everything three or more times in a single day no matter how busy it is
I went on Thursday the 28th and it said Candymonium was a 3 hour wait, 30 minutes later it went down to a 30 minute wait so we went to get on it and it was actually a walk on. Got four walk on rides in a row. Having 4 seats in each row and 3 trains really help the wait time. Also got walk ons on Skyrush and Stormrunner. It’s a lot less crowded during the week. Fahrenheit was long the whole day tho.
i almost went i wish i'd known you and eltoro would be there, i rode it in first season, first season after new trains and was gonna ride it in last season ptc first season was insane but i was a kid so who knows how good it actually was
