It indeed sound happy as if the previous version, they are telling their parents to let them and they can do it. But in this version, it's as if they are telling their parents see I can do it, let be in charge and you can rest now. Like they are happy they can show their parents they can do it.

Lyrics of this song are so beautiful. "Tahan na" or "ta'n na" is not simply stop crying in Filipino. It is a phrase exclusively used by parent/guardians. You say "tahan na" to your kid to tell him/her "it's okay/I'm hurting too when I see you cry/your Dad/Mom is here now, no more worries" "Tahan na"/"Ta'an na" is the verbal equivalent of a parent's hug. You are not supposed to tell an adult to "tahan na." It's never said by a child to his/her parent. But MAPA is just something else. It is a reverse-role lullaby (Lataratrara). That is why it hits hard.

yup. i totally agree about this version being happy. i think i commented on another reaction that this version is like the first parting of the clouds after a big storm. it sounds victorious and uplifting and grand. i hope 1z releases this version with a separate instrumental track -- because it's that good. you know, mapa is sung a lot during graduations, the instrumental track for this would be a really really good one to use for them.
everytime i hear mapa i always cry i dont know the feeling having a parents beside me growing up my papa died when i was 5 yrs old and my mama left me at the year my papa die and never met my mom till now so this song hits me deffirent😭😭
